Repost for @JenlovesJT47

I have put together a list of all the source material that Alfred Hitchcock made movie magic from. I want to start a buddy read beginning in November and will tag those who have shown interest. Will wait for feedback from everyone. Let me know if you would like to do 1 book a month, or perhaps 1 every 6 weeks so there‘s less pressure. I‘m posting a link to the Google doc of the list of books.

JenlovesJT47 Backwards, it‘s up to you! And I‘d love for more people to join. Let me know if you‘re interested! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-uC-1JP_sE9ESOqtfiZWvaeKBPL2UtOkJ9YamlE8Zks/... 1mo

Sace The link says I need to request access. I would be interested but I‘d like to see the list first if that‘s ok? 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @sace sorry about that! I rarely use Google docs so I don‘t really know what I‘m doing lol 😆 I updated it where anyone can access it, let me know if it doesn‘t work 1mo
JenlovesJT47 Also, to anyone interested, I do have an online resource where you can download some of the more hard to find books for free! 1mo
Sace @JenlovesJT47 there are a couple I might be up for (Like Jamaica Inn) but I don‘t know if I‘d be up for all 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @Sace that‘s fine! You can jump in and join whenever you feel like it. 1mo
quietjenn I may jump in for some of them! 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @quietjenn awesome! 🤗 1mo
Clare-Dragonfly Wow, I had no idea there were so many! I‘m definitely interested in reading more du Maurier, but also probably won‘t be in for all. 1mo
AnishaInkspill this is an amazing list, at a stretch I may be able to do 1 every 2 months. 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @sace @quietjenn @Clare-Dragonfly @AInkspill we don‘t have to do these in any particular order so what does everyone think about doing Jamaica Inn by Daphne du Maurier for our first book in November? Since there seems to be a lot of interest for her books. 🙃 1mo
AnishaInkspill @JenlovesJT47 I have Jamaica Inn, so yeah, I can do that 😊 1mo
TorieStorieS This sounds so fun! Count me in for them all! 😊 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @TorieStorieS yay! I‘m waiting to hear back from the others but we‘ll be starting in November and I think we‘ll do one book every 6 weeks. Most of the harder to find books are on Anna‘s Archive 🤓 1mo
TorieStorieS Sounds great!! 1mo
Sace @JenlovesJT47 sounds good to me! 1mo
Sace I went ahead and got Psycho for my kindle. I definitely want to read that with y‘all. 1mo
JenlovesJT47 @Sace awesome! Psycho is so good btw! I‘ll be posting the details soon for Jamaica Inn ❤️ 1mo

I recently read Rear Window and it got me thinking. I‘m a big fan of Alfred Hitchcock‘s movies and I‘m wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a buddy read with me going through all of the source material that was the inspiration for his movies. I‘ve only read a handful so far (Rebecca is a masterpiece!) but would love to read more. Let me know if you‘re interested!

Suet624 It sounds like a fantastic idea but I‘m a horrible buddy read companion. I hope others join you. 2mo
Clare-Dragonfly Ooh, I‘m interested. 2mo
Jadams89 That‘d be fun!! 2mo

Not a Hitchcock you'd think of right away, but grippingly good.

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Perfect 👍🏻 6mo
Eggs Agree-it‘s a compelling one. After I watched the Cary Grant series I decided to rewatch some of hitchcock‘s movies. N x NW, Charade, To Catch a Thief, man who knew too much, Rope 6mo

Finished this puzzle my mom gave me a while ago… it was a mystery, no picture of the puzzle with it, but a murder mystery that describes the crime scene. It was pretty neat, I did the puzzle first and just read the little short story about the three suspects. Got to try out my new puzzle board I got for Christmas. Happy new year everyone!

wanderinglynn How fun! 🧩💚 2y
