I'm a big fan of Kimberly Belle's books. They always leave me on the edge and wanting more. This is her latest and I think each gets better.
An Instagram Influencer can be a dangerous thing. At least to this family. Alex and her husband Patrick a financial genius, along with her twelve year old twinsPenelope and Gigi from a previous relationship. There is also Alex's personal assistant AC..

I adore Kimberley Belle, but unfortunately this one wasn‘t my favorite of hers 😔.. it did pick up, and get into her normal suspenseful writing eventually, but something just didn‘t kick with me for a lot of it. I‘ll still anticipate her new releases!

I was actually pleasantly surprised by this book. The title is a bit generic but the story was unique with lots of twists and turns. It's told from 3 perspectives, Alex- mommy influencer and wife to a financial guru who made his first million at age 22, Alex's husband, and her personal assistant AC, who has mysteriously disappeared after a night of celebrating over Alex reaching one million followers. Decent quick read. ⭐⭐⭐✨

Welp. This book will make you want to delete all of your social media apps and lock the doors. Alex is an Atlanta based influenced (think Girl Wash Your Face..blech) married to a finance guy, Patrick. They are living like rich folk do, y‘know, fancy cars, private schools, etc when suddenly a viral post ruins Alex‘s life. Her personal assistant has all of her passwords and information & has disappeared. Is she the reason all of this is happening?

3¾⭐
Towards the end, the reveals were coming fast and furious…and I had a hard time keeping up and keeping it all straight. And while they eventually got to be a bit over-the-top…they were nonetheless entertaining. There‘s also a lesson or two on the dangers of putting yourself out there for the world to see.

My beloved San Francisco 49ers are playing! 𝗞𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 always pulls me into a contemporary, twisty thriller. So I am totally engrossed in 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 . . . during commercials. Hope to finish today in an effort to reach my goal.

When I started reading this it felt like a typical psychological thriller and felt a little ho-hum, but I am glad I stuck with it, as it became quite a fun read and went in a direction I did not totally predict. It certainly illustrated the perils of living your life online and did a good job of revealing how easy things are to fake in our new online world, whether to just look better to others or to cause serious harm. 3.75/5 stars.
