I feel as though I only read half the book. Where is the character building and a good ending? There was some I liked about this book, but was more I didn't. One dimensional characters, I felt like there was a lot of the story missing. 2.5/5

Genuinely the worst book I've ever read. I was so looking forward to reading this one and it was a huge let down. Just awful awful writing. Packed full of cliches, bad alliterations and shoddy wooden dialogue. Avoid at all costs.
An interesting read with a game of cat and mouse. I felt that the story was rushed at times and would‘ve liked more background about the characters. #Scarathlon #TeamMonsterMash #LittenListen #31by31 #pointsathon #spookoween +206 pts
Great concept, and a couple of good twists, but it‘s just missing so much, and the ending.. 😳 I need the rest!
I remember reading a book about him. It really gave me the heebie jeebies knowing at one point he was very close to where I live.
This is by far my absolute favorite book! I was immediately hooked! I was shocked by twists and couldn‘t put it down!!
So I never heard the author's podcast. Will definitely look into it now. I realized this is the authors very first book and she did an amazing job at it. Yes there is some areas she needs to improve that's very true but the story was captivating, great paced and entrataining. I enjoyed it and I would read more of her work.
Now I wonder if maybe they will be a second part to this🤔
⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was ok, I suppose, but nothing I won't forget in a few days. The MC was supremely boring. The antagonist a little less so, but he wasn't fleshed out as well as he could have been. I'd seen lots of hype for this book, but I'm wondering if it had more to do with the author's podcast fame than the content of the book. Audio was decent.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ fucking amazing. Didn't disappoint!!!
“He always understands. Sometimes she wonders how, but she never takes his understanding for granted.”
Finally diving in

This was a quick read and pretty good, but I found the twist confusing and the ending very rushed and boring. It had the framework to be excellent, but unfortunately failed to deliver a solid ending. Did anyone else not totally comprehend the "twist" with the bracelet? How things in the past are also in the present? Fav quote: "sometimes death is the only real mercy."

I'm loving it I literally couldn't put it down last night. I definitely don't regret it 😍😍😍
Liking this one so far! Smart serial killer meets smart, forensically-experienced detective.
This was a difficult book to rate. On one hand, I thought the plot was good, it was fast-paced, & the chapters from the point of view of the killer were very chilling, however, the main character doesn't seem to have a personality. They were a complete blank - in fact I couldn't tell you much about any of the 'good guys'. Is it ironic that the character with the most depth was the killer?

Ok so this new Aardvark subscription has me more and more intrigued. So far they've posted these two clues for their first box. Any guesses?
I think the top clue could be the tagged book? And the second could be The Night Ship? Maybe?? But I stink at emoji-based clues so I'm curious what y'all think 🕵️🏽♀️
#aardvark (fun fact - their website says the name is because it's the first word in the dictionary 😂)
