Today I finished this 760 page book in 13 days 😱 I honestly really loved it. It made me smile and even cry at one point. It really reminded me of my childhood with the movies. I would recommend to both children and adults, although there are few things that might be upsetting to younger readers. The only other problem I have with this is a few of the chapters seem to be really same-y to other chapters

This is the longest book I‘ve ever tackled (760 odd pages or so) and it‘s going rather well. Really easy read despite it being so long because it‘s soooo good! On page 293, only started it Monday :)

This is a very rare time when I say... The movie was better *gasp* I know!
It was magical in places and Mary Poppins had some great one liners. The kids were cute and Mr and Mrs Banks were lovely but the stories just kinda feel flat to me.

My original Mary Poppins trilogy, my daughter gave to me several Christmases ago!

Finally got this. I think an evening with Mary is a good idea

I'm stoked! My city is doing an arts week, and they gave away tickets to see Mary Poppins on Broadway 😀😀

It is taking me forever to read Mary Poppins -- I think I'm on either the 3rd or 4th installment. It's a challenging intellectual read; there's a lot of philosophical meat in it. I have to digest it thoroughly in between sittings, sopping up the juicy meanings of Mary's statements and actions and the childrens' actions and responses. It's an intense spiritual journey -- and I think Travers meant it that way, for adults.
