Just finished book 4 in the From Blood and Ash series. It was sooo good :]
Just finished book 4 in the From Blood and Ash series. It was sooo good :]
Chapter 13 Kieren is such a tease!
Or is he a bad friend? Or is this like a 3 way relationship and Cas wouldn't have cared?
I see a lot of anger was thrown at this book when it was released in the series but my only complaint was the length of time between Cas and Poppy getting back together was a little too long for me. Everything else was 5 ⭐️ for me!
3.75/5 🌕🌕🌕🌖🌑 A bit disappointing and I don‘t really like how the Casteel, poppy and Keiran relationships is like
So, it took 3 books to lead up to ONE chapter of "war" I get the character development and really enjoyed the previous books. This one felt drawn out and then quick climax and done... not a fan ? so many Gods, dieties, primals dudes have almost the same name... Its unnecessarily confusing. Overall, disappointed in this one
My goodness...I really love it...even though I don't need all the sex scenes. Some of those are not really needed in certain places. At times, you lose the momentum of the story. For me personally, the sex scenes are really a distraction.
It needs to become Netflix series (minus or less sex scenes)
Pick , even the over the top sex scenes 😂 I still like this series and these characters!
I get the house to myself tonight! Cooked up some roasted cherry tomato and red wine risotto and super excited to start the new book in this series. I love the series overall but almost bailed on the last one because it was so very romancey. I have high hopes that this one will have more battle action and less starry eyed love as, after all, the protagonist's husband is captured behind enemy lines. 🤞If anyone wants the recipe, let me know.
I‘m still deep in my feelings after finishing this and rereading the ending multiple times. Did I enjoy this? Absolutely. Am I excited for the next book? Absolutely. Was there a very sexy scene I wanted more from? Absolutely. I love this series and am very impressed with the author‘s planning of book releases. The prequel series is a teaser for what‘s to come with Poppy and Casteel. This continuation managed to create more questions than answers.
Can NOT wait for the blowout that's bound to happen in this part 4!! JLA is killing me with the series 😭 🥰

“The click and drag of claws grew closer as the weak flame above the lone candle sputtered then went out, pitching the cell into darkness.”
I‘ve been saving this book for the weekend to avoid any reading interruptions.
Bit of a lull in the middle but otherwise a wonderful addition to the series. I listened to the audio and do wish that Malec and Malik had more distinctive names as there were a few times I was a little confused if I didn‘t catch the pronunciation well.
Also to the people complaining about a thing JLA wrote about - get over it. The path was laid in books before. Also, just because it‘s not your jam doesn‘t mean that it‘s bad.
I enjoyed this, while a little long I felt it was an entertaining end to the current story line with an intriguing look at what comes next. Without spoiling anything, the hullabaloo over the review bombing of this book…I don‘t understand, as the scene was STRONGLY eluded to in previous books, so those who didn‘t like it, well whatever. I liked it! 4⭐️

This one is a marathon, not a sprint. I think the reason why it felt even longer than the last ones is because 1. There was a lull in the middle and 2. I have several book club books on audio I need to get to.
Should be done by tomorrow though, only 1 hour left!
I think it's funny people are so angry about a small part of this book. It's like they took it as a personal affront. It was a good book. It dragged a little in the middle, but it really picked up at the end. The author is free to write what she wants and readers can like the story or not. There is no need to attack her personally. It's fiction!
Book four and it managed to really be a great ending to this series! I loved how everything came together at the end and Poppy was a heroine I loved from the start! This author has quickly become one of my favorites! #readingchallenge2022
When I find an author I like I read all of their books. And I mean ALL. Before Litsy I had to keep track the old fashioned way 😂 This app has made tracking much easier. And the new Armentrout book did not disappoint. It had it all, love, family, the supernatural, comedy, drama. Up next is the soon to be released book in her Flesh & Fire series.
*squeals* I forgot to post that this exciting book came yesterday! 🎉🎉🎉 Super exciting! This is book 4 in the series! I may go back an reread the last two books again before starting this one! 😁📖❤
