Starting a new book between the mess and nap time.
But I didn't realize that the Flesh and Fire series connects to the Blood and Ash series?
I didn't like blood and ash so much so should I try this one or not bother?

Omg when is the Fall of Ruin and Wrath next one coming out? I'm so ready

Meshell1313 Oh yeah! Prob in the fall! But I‘m the next Flesh and Fire book is coming in May! Love it! ❤️ 9mo
emz711 @Meshell1313 what's your favorite book of hers? 9mo

emz711 @Meshell1313 I get this weird feeling that fall of ruin and wrath are in the same universe? Even though nothing says that 8mo
emz711 @Meshell1313 I'm enjoying this one so far but they have a similar story to blood and ash and I don't know if that was intentional 8mo
emz711 @Meshell1313 oooo I really liked it! 8mo
Meshell1313 @emz711 ooh yay! And you are right about how many of her books cross over! It‘s great! Def check out Lux series when you get through these series‘! 8mo

The nods to the Blood & Ash series are fantastic and you have to read this before reading The War of Two Queens. Sera has been groomed for one task and that is to end a deal which saved the mortal world made hundreds of years ago by her ancestor, she must kill the Primal of Death. But when push comes to shove can she fulfil her duty? The story is weaved between the romance and passion, well balanced. It is a twin of the Blood & Ash but I liked it!

So it is time to dip into the sister series Flesh and Fire before jumping back into the Blood and Ash series again. I had to make myself this little visual aid, just so I knew which book came next (each line is left to right). I'm trusting the process with this series. There are some infuriatingly agonising rehashing of the same conversations in places, but overall, I'm invested in where this series is going, the world building is very good too

Meshell1313 I absolutely devour every Armentrout book- enjoy!!!! 2y
JaneyWaneyB @Meshell1313 I can completely understand why, absolutely loving this series 😍 2y

I've read War of the Queen's and I wished that I've read this book before. Everything came into place now.
A new variation of the trope enemies to lovers or forbidden love. Definitely steamy though the mystery around the rot and the threats is the main plot.
I liked how JLA expressed Sera's feelings, her depression and the breathing technique.
Thankfully I can immediately start A Light in the Flames!

I enjoyed getting the background information on the gods' history from the Blood and Ash series. At first it seemed a little repetitive of that series, but then it grew into its own story and drew my attention.

This is the prequel to From Blood and Ash, was going to skip this but it‘s got really good reviews. I‘m diving into this 550 page book. I‘m about 1/4 way through am glad I did. #fantasy #romance #ya

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I will need more than 1070 calories to get me through the wait for the next book in the series. It‘s been so long since a book has gripped me like this and taken a hold of my every waking moment. I‘m so glad I chose the audio version for this otherwise I would get nothing done. Still, I found myself sitting and staring off while I listened far too often to consider myself “productive” while listening. So. Freaking. Good.

1) Tagged - Almost finished

2) The Inheritance Games - Absolutely fantastic. The main character is very well created, and the endlessly intriguing plot kept me going. The Hawthorne Legacy was fantastic too and very much looking forward to the final book in August.

3) Gaming Saturday, reading Sunday. The typical weekend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This story is the prequel to the Blood and Ash series that I‘m obsessed with. I knew I was going to enjoy this book because a bookstagrammer had mentioned that it‘s very similar to the banter between Poppy and Casteel. I still wish the characters had felt somewhat different. The author did not step out of her comfort zone at all. There were some big prophecy moments at the end that finally started to pull everything together.

Zuhkeeyah @TheAromaofBooks January #bookspin complete! 3y
TheAromaofBooks Yay!! From Blood & Ash is on my January TBR, but I may not be getting to it until February haha I've been meaning to read it forever!! 3y
Zuhkeeyah @TheAromaofBooks They‘re so much fun, but definitely a time investment with all those pages 😅 3y
TheAromaofBooks Yes!!! But this is the year I am determined to tackle some of the heftier books on my TBR. I set my GR goal really low because my desire to check that off always seems to outweigh my desire to read fat books haha 3y

I love this entire world that Jennifer Armentrout has written! The characters are very complex. My favorites are Ash and Sera.. I can picture the different realms in this wonderful story. This book took a long time for me to read.It was over 700 pages long! It was definitely worth the time. I cannot wait to read about these characters in the next book.

Not as good as FBAA, though there are obviously a lot of similarities, but I still really enjoyed it. I was just really getting into the story and becoming invested in the characters when it ended, so I guess we‘ll wait to see what the next book has in store for its reader.

The first half of this book was basically a replica of From Blood And Ash, however the second half developed into it's own story. I liked that the MC Sera isn't a complete copy of Poppy, and she's more extroverted and less innocent. I found all the background info with the Gods so interesting, and the world building of the Shadowlands was cool. The Draki were so cute, little Reaver and Jadis are adorable! The ending left on a huge cliffhanger...

Loved this! Part of the Blood & Ash world, this spin off answers a lot of back story of that series. Really entertaining read. Not really a standalone, so I do recommend reading the Blood & Ash series first. This is #romantsy but it is a slow burn. 5⭐️
Another #bookspinbingo and my second book done for #20in4 #readathon

I will admit that the beginning of the book was feeling VERY FBAA (similar story lines/scenarios) and I was feeling disappointed by it. However, it really picked up and became it's own story somewhere around halfway through and just like the FBAA series, this first book really gets into the thick of it as it's ending. The cover is doing wonders for me now that I've read the whole book! Can't wait for book two!

Book #57: It felt like it ended right when it was getting good! Very much Greek mythology retelling but throw in a little vampirism and dragons (draken). There‘s a ton of characters in this (particularly gods), but the world building was easy enough to grasp. The repetitive internal dialogue I think is what made this book so long. I did like how it ended and I think it‘ll be an interesting series.

miaelisabet Thanks for the review! I have been curious about whether to read this as I have read and enjoyed some of her others😁 3y

Book 1 in a new fantasy series! I inhaled this one and now I‘m salty I have to wait for the next book which comes out next year. Great characters and story building.
