The Seed Collectors | 
pickGood. Interesting story concept. Even though at times the story was hard to follow and there were what I can only describe as 'harsh' sex scenes that came out of nowhere. The characters were just awful people. I normally love Scarlett Thomas but this wasn't particularly great and if this is your first novel of hers that you read please don't be put off.

so-soI was excited for this & whilst I enjoyed parts, I found it unsatisfying. Most of the characters were unlikeable but I'm okay with that.
Started this book last night, but I'm leaving town for a week, so it's time to switch over to the ebook. So far, it's no Our Tragic Universe (my favourite).
pickTerrible, botanically gifted people; murderous seed pods. There are also a couple bird pov sections that are truly delightful 🐥🌱🌾🌼
After a long, stressful weekend I'm looking forward to starting this book before falling asleep (I don't anticipate making it very far.

Filled with questionable people doing questionable things and Thomas' signature keen and witty writing, The Seed Collectors is a perfectly delicious garden read. About 2/3 finished!
A cup of tea and a new library book, what more could I ask for?!
panLove Scarlett Thomas books usually but really didn't enjoy this one. The characters were all really unlikeable!

pickA+ should have been a sick day book (meaning I went to work but wasn't happy about it and now I'm sitting on the couch reading)
pickI loved this book! It felt like a grown-ass adult book. I felt really grown up reading about these people, even though I was often saying, "Who does that?" "Who says that?" "WHOA that is questionable behavior!" "That's unacceptable!" Just like real life. Plus, the story is super weird and original.
Evening reading. Weird wonderfulness.
