Reading this one to meet a reading challenge, but it's out of my wheel house. Looking forward to trying something new, trying some Shakespeare!

The tagged book had a twist ending that really knocked my socks off🧦. But if I had been a good reader and read my Shakespeare I wouldn't have been so surprised, this is a retelling of Hamlet. I loved it.
#Netgalley (I actually read this in August and am just now posting my review😳)
First thing, I am trash about going back and reading classics. So while I have seen a few of Shakespeare‘s plays I have not read many of his books...I have read one, Romeo and Juliet…. in high school. Per the blurb this book is a retelling of Hamlet, a feminist, queer and magical retelling. Since I haven't read or seen either the play or adaptation,⬇️
The King of Infinite Space is a modern, queer, and feminist take on Hamlet.
Ben Dane's father is dead - was it on accident or on purpose? His mother has remarried his uncle. Ben turns to his best friend Horatio for help. Meanwhile, Ben's ex-fiance Lia is trying to recover from her drug addiction with the help of three florists for a price.
This was a great take on a classic play.
Thanks Penguin Group Putnam through NetGalley.
Lyndsay Fate is an author I just seem to LOVE and now she released a Shakespeare retelling (Hamlet)!!!!!!

I loved this. It's a modern retelling of Hamlet. And she borrows some of the most fun characters from his other plays. Like the original, this is an absolute mindf*ck. I highly recommend this one. This author keeps getting better.
