Airport delays = more reading time.

It amazes me how upset and rude people get when flights are delayed. I understand having plans waylaid is upsetting & sometimes you are on a deadline …but man, some of these people are just plan unkind and honestly being down right assholes! I have had two separate people sit beside me and start being rude about the people working etc… they have since moved away. My response to them . See comments ⬇️⬇️

DinoMom “ sorry your plans have been disrupted, mine have as well … difference is I am not being an ass to people about it. Excuse me , while I go back to reading” Neither of them stayed sitting beside me. (edited) 1y
Ruthiella Good on you. 👍 1y

It's an interesting read, but there's a lot of loose ends the author never expands on or clarifies by the end of the book, and the ending is left relatively open - you don't know exactly what happens to the characters in the end and it's frustrating.

3.4⭐️ The store was OK, but I hate is a protagonist. She went against everything she said she was from the very beginning, and just kept playing stupid throughout The entire story. This book was one of my high anticipation rates too, and I was glad that it was a pic for my book club. However, I think we all agreed it did not meet up to our expectations.

3✨ I really like how this story got set up. The idea of a girl that is lower class provided wishes was a fun twist. I never really got invested in the characters. It was dark and twisty which was fine, but there really wasn‘t someone I was rooting for. How it ended was pretty sudden. I‘m not sure I want to read the next one, but might try it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️(possible spoiler) I'm not completely sure how I feel about this one. I know women are prone to making hard decisions more than we'd like....but to sell your soul for happiness and then make excuses for other people's downfalls like you didn't speak it into existence??? Hmmm....it was dark and I enjoyed it! And I tabbed the heck out of it haha 🧚🏻 the godmother was full of Devine evil 🖤

Okay #LMPBC #groupF, here are some of the books I had in mind.

A few are mostly just fantasy, but the rest are fantasy romance!

Total impulse buy and it was a good read. I‘m a sucker for Gothic lit and fairytale retelling‘s and that is exactly what you get with this one. Super easy read. #bookspin @TheAromaofBooks

Book 42 of 2021! A creepy, Gothic Cinderella story with a Faustian twist! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Weak pick, mostly because of the psychological aspect in this book. What happens to us when things come to us too easily? Can things go wrong, even though they were meant to do good?

This story is a dark mixture of Cinderella and Goethe's Faust. Fits the coming autumn season with its Victorian vibes.

The Shadow in the Glass
by JJA Harwood
⭐⭐⭐
This book started off strong but slowly lost footing. I enjoyed the writing and the characters but the plot had pacing issues. The book felt too long. Definitely an interesting story worth reading, and an author to watch. Thank you to NetGalley for offering this e-book.

Wow, what a fun read! I kind of knew where it was going, but it was a fun way to get to the end and find out I was right. And, left it open ended enough to leave me to continue to ponder the ending.
