Working our way through this book - today Mr K made Hot Cross Buns ♥️
I might have gone a bit thick on the lime cream cheese topping - but starting off the holiday baking with a classic carrot cake! Love the Bread Ahead cookbook! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Today‘s baking - a classic white tin loaf. ♥️
Another hit from this book - might just be one of my most used cookbooks for 2021!
I think i'm going to bake this entire book in 2021! Today's reading snack Bara Brith - a Welsh inspired fruit tea loaf ( except I don't like tea - so I soaked the fruit overnight in Mr K's whiskey rather than Earl grey tea!)
So todays baking - looking forward to an afternoon of scones, clotted cream, jam and a few quiet chapters of my book The tagged baking book really does produce the best results!
Amazing book - another weekend baking session a success - a Bakewell tart (flaky pastry, with raspberry jam and frangipani topped with flaked almonds) - perfect afternoon reading treat!
Having a flatbread feast! Having a go at three new recipes today - Arabian pitta bread, Lavash and Sangak. 🤞🏼
Just tucking into this mornings baking (Eccles cakes). I love this book- every thing always turns out well !
Sunday therapy! Saffron buns 😋
Today lockdown treats !
This is the forth thing I‘ve made from this new book this week and each has turned out perfectly . Great book!
Our first sourdough loaf! We‘ve made our own starter ( which we‘ve yet to name @Oryx !) and been nursing it for 10 days and finally got to the best bit today - the house smelling of bread 🤩
One of my 2021 goals is going to be (I think!) ‘ stay engaged‘. So to help that I‘ve just signed up to Baking school- a year long online flexible course that gives you unlimited access to classes on sourdough, rye, doughnuts, saffron buns, chocolate cake the lot! As many courses as I want to log into and just £125 for the year. 2021 is the year of baking!
Anyone want to join me?!?
