4/5
This was such a fun series to read. I'm going to keep working my way through Kleypas's backlog starting with the Wallflowers since there's so much overlap with The Ravenels.

Lady Merritt Sterling is a strong-willed widow running her late husband‘s shipping company and trying to stay out of society‘s gossip.
When Scottish whisky distiller Keir MacRae comes to London to expand his whisky distribution, they both get caught in a murderer‘s crosshairs.

Merry Christmas 🎄 fellow Littens who celebrate. Today I‘m traveling so yesterday I made a little cheese and sausage plate . Finished my relisten to this audiobook. Not my favourite in the series but it‘s nice to catch up with old friends from earlier books in the series. Wishing everyone all the best 💚🐉
Add me to the list of peeps who picked this up without completely realizing there are a ton more books before it in a series (sometimes Libby doesn't flag that accurately!). But it didn't matter, I loved the characters and the chemistry, and I will gladly go back and get the backstory on everybody else soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I'm glad I, coincidently, finally read the Wallflowers before this release https://youtu.be/2rrnv-5R3H0
I probably should have started at the beginning of this series, but I liked this one nonetheless! I will read more of them!
Picked this one up on a whim at the library and it‘s pretty good so far! My first from this author.
Normally I love Kleypas, but this book really didn't connect for me. The first half lacked the story and character development I enjoy, although the second half did pick up.
I also didn't love the storyline with Sebastian, though I can't really say more without spoilers.

Not my favorite of the series but still good. This one features Lady Merritt, who‘s now a widow. The Ravenels (Ethan and Phoebe (a Ravenel by marriage)) only have cameos, so it‘s more of a Wallflowers gen 2 story.
Book 2 for #AwesomeAugust
When it comes to historical romance Lisa Kleypas is The GOAT. In other words, she is the greatest of all time. I've been reading books by this lady since the 90s and I've yet to read a bad book by her. Everything she writes is pure gold. How does she do that? lol "The Devil in Disguise" is another winner! I just couldn't get enough of Keir and Merrit. Also, it was fun to catch up withThe Wallflowers and their husbands. 10 ❤/ 10!
An absolutely delightful 5⭐️ read! A historical romance that takes place in the early Victorian age. This is a branch off of the Ravenel and Wallflowers series by Kleypas. I would highly recommend reading the Wallflowers series first, specifically Devil in Winter, but it can somewhat work as a standalone. #romantsy
“You love soothing difficult people. You‘re the human equivalent to table syrup.”
Amused, Merritt leaned her chin on her hand. “Show him in, then, I‘ll start pouring.”
Look what I found! I didn't know she has a book coming out next year! Auto buy! 😄
