This book was fine. It had the issue that annoys me across a lot of books of every single character sounding like a self help book/someone repeating what a therapist told them and announcing the ways their minds work rather than behaving like people, which did annoy me, but I liked the setting and bones of the story, and it was very Christmassy.

Another excellent Christmas themed book by Sarah Morgan, she really does relationship books really well. This one about a breakdown in relationships between a mother and two daughters, who after a five year separation in the relationship do Christmas together. As always excellently written.

Sarah Morgan is rapidly becoming a favorite of mine. I genuinely loved this story. Morgan focuses on forgiveness and moving forward, and the understanding that becomes possible when we are willing to step back and look at a situation from someone else's perspective. I'm not usually a fan of books categorized as women's fiction because they tend to be depressing as hell, but Morgan tackles complicated family issues in a way that makes me feel ⬇️

A sweet Christmas story. I felt the romance was a little underdeveloped but the main plot was quite well done. A stronger editor would have helped in a few spots - no American is going to call something a “cookery book”

Starting a new audiobook, and going with Sarah Morgan, many of whose books I have enjoyed this year.

Morgan‘s #holidayreads are literally one of the best things about the #Christmas season. This one is more women‘s fiction than romance, but there is a romance present. The story is about re-examining the past and being open to the future. The complicated relationship between Gayle and her daughters Samantha and Ella really spoke to me, as I could see my own family through them. The snow and Christmas trees are so festive!! #ReadYourWay #NetGalley

I'm a big fan of Sarah Morgan so knew this would be a good read and it didn't disappoint at all. The plot is well written and the ending is perfect. The idea of a Christmas in the Scottish Highlands is perfect. The images created through this just instantly draw you in. I loved Ella and Sam but Mary was by far my favourite character. She added the depth and perspective needed for Gayle. #Netgalley 5*

⭐️⭐️⭐️ A great Christmas story of redemption: Gayle is successful, so successful that she‘s written two books telling other women how to do it, but she has a secret, two daughters that she has spoken to for five years. Can a family Christmas in the Scottish Highlands bring harmony to their family?

When will I learn to stop going on a NetGalley binge ~ ordered so many, have been approved for all and all have October deadlines. Hopefully when the kids go back next week I can crack on with these. 📖
