Good. Enjoyed the story. Found it hard to follow at first because I am used to seeing Death in Paradise on the television and had to think back to the characters in the 1st series. Perfect for fans of the series, which will love reconnecting with the characters from the 1st series.

"... altogether more hurricaney." ?
@BookishMarginalia I'm just starting this one, but I'm already loving it. I've missed DI Poole. ❤ I'm so glad I saw your posts about these books.
#CurrentlyListening to another #DeathinParadise #cozymystery — so fun! #PhilFox is an excellent narrator — he brings the books to life.
#3Books #ThatMadeMeLaugh, although I think one of them wasn‘t supposed to - but those terrible sex scenes!!!🤣🤣
Re-read Hitchhiker‘s last month, it still makes me laugh, while A Meditation on Murder is based on the original series of Death In Paradise, with repressed Englishman Richard Poole as the central character, which always appeals to my #SenseOfHumor (Humour!!) @Eggs

I love the programme “Death in Paradise”, just discovered there is a book series. That‘s my weekend sorted.
The (fictional) island of St Marie must be the worst place to go on #holiday, it seems to have an incredibly high murder rate; though thankfully they are always solved by fish-out-of-water British detective, which was originally Richard Poole (played by the wonderful Ben Miller), in the series TV Death In Paradise.

1. I‘m between books! Just finished Andrea Camilleri‘s Game of Mirrors (an Inspector Montalbano novel) and will start Eight Mountains by Paolo Cognetti soon.
2. I had to look through Goodreads to find the answer to this! The last vaguely green book I read was the tagged book, based on the TV series Death In Paradise, which I was a huge fan of until the last series. I read it back in 2017!
3. We have an abundance of bluebells.

If you‘re a fan of classic whodunits or the British TV show Death in Paradise, the first book in Robert Thorogood‘s series is on sale for 99 cents in the US.
