pick4.5/5⭐ It starts out with rough content but evens out into a darker fantasy I couldn't put down. The author throws you into the worldbuilding without holding your hand, but it isn't difficult to make sense of everything. And Mildmay...oh, Mildmay! What a memorable character! I adore the relationship between Mildmay & Felix, especially toward the end when their words & actions reflect months of journeying together.
Here‘s #ManicMonday on a Tuesday, because yesterday was busy. Among other things, I visited a McDonald‘s near a high school at lunch time: ie, I experienced true horror on Halloween.
Teenagers scream a lot more than I remembered.

On to Celebratory Reread #2! I‘ve been trying to squeeze MÉLUSINE into my reading schedule since April, but I‘m pretty sure I‘m gonna want to binge-read the whole series so I couldn‘t manage it until now. Sure enough, I‘ve barely started and I‘m already bummed I‘ve only got 3 and 9/10ths more books with these characters. Mildmay‘s my former Favouritest of Favourites, and Felix sits right at the top of my Queer Assholes list.
The first #CuriousCovers cover flowers I found on a cover in my collection might not be flowers at all! There's a colorful tattoo on this character's arm and I decided that it has flowers in it 🤔
