This was only okay for me. The second half was better than the first. In theory, there was a diverse cast of characters, but they weren't fleshed out well and seemed all the same at the core. I would often forget who was who. In the second half, they suddenly seemed to get personalities and identity, but then it was over before we really got to know them. I did like the ending, but as a fan of The Bold Type, I must admit that I was disappointed.

I adored this, start to finish! Four best friends who are always there to support each other and be cheerleaders for each other, on the cusp of high school graduation, figuring themselves out. The mystery element was super fun and kept me guessing!! Thank you @LiteraryinLawrence for lending this to me!! I will definitely read more by Watson.

As I get older, YA is hit or miss for me so I was surprised by how much I liked this. The prologue tells us that one of these girls grows up to become POTUS but we don't find out which until the end. Along the way the story deals with many issues: depression, adoption, community service, financial struggles, disability, sexuality, and how to find your way in the world. But most of all this is about 4 friends who love and support each other ⬇️

A fun story about 4 best friends that take friendship very seriously & are always there for each other. I liked that they‘re all different, but the friendships are genuine. One of these four becomes the future president of the U.S. & the reader doesn‘t find out until the end. -my guess kept changing throughout the story, but I wasn‘t surprised or disappointed in who ends up being Madam President! #mostlikely #audiobook #sarahwatson #friendship

I LOVE this premise: one of these high school seniors will become President of the United States, but readers don‘t find out which one until the end. It was a little slow in the beginning trying to keep track of who was who & I expected more snark from a book by the creator of The Bold Type, but in the end I really enjoyed it. There was enough mystery to keep me guessing & an unexpected twist right before the reveal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I thought the beginning was slow to get moving. The girls are seniors and all 4 best friends. One of them, we are told, will become the president of the US. But which one? I thought the struggles with family, adoption issues, and socioeconomic status were very well done. Also, the marginalization of people with physical disabilities, and handling of mental health issues.

This week has been an emotional rollercoaster. Actually, it's been a giant emotional rollercoaster for me since December. And not even bc that was when I found out I was pregnant! Between family drama and CoVID problems, it hasn't been easy. This week though, the emotions were centered on the baby - I found out that he's a boy, but my husband wasn't allowed to even video chat for the ultrasound, let alone be there. I'm trying to relax and get ...

1. Most Likely and A Lion Among Men, as far as reading with my eyes (as opposed to audio)
2. Can I have both? I always have a physical book, at least one ebook (A Lion Among Men), and at least one audio (currently listening to The Glass Hotel and Elantris)

I highly recommend this debut novel from a writer on Parenthood (loved that show!). I almost don‘t want to give anything away, but it‘s basically about 4 best friends in their senior year of high school. We know from the start that one of them will become president, but we don‘t know which one. They all go through ups and downs and support each other. Everything folds together so gracefully in the end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Calling all tub-readers! I‘ve never been a bath-taker but I think I want to start and see if it‘s relaxing for reading. I know this is silly, but do you have any advice? Are there certain things you recommend, like a kind of tray you like or hate? Does one have a cushion or something? How does it work? 😋

I think one of these two books is going to be my next book and a bathtub candidate (my current book is big, old, and a library book).

My plans for the #EasterExtravaganza #readathon! I will continue The Glass Castle (divination for OWLS - random number generator pick from TBR) on audiobook, and I hope to start and finish Most Likely (herbology, OWLS - starts with M) and A Lion Among Men (history of magic - features witches/wizards). I would love to also be able to get through The World That We Knew (care of magical creatures - creature w/beak on cover)

This is an empowering, nice story about 4 women, where one will become president. My favorite in this book is their unfailing friendship, no matter what no matter when. It is real in a way they never let each other down.
