Placing catch up with prompts. For yesterday, I definitely count cheese (& cheesemakers) among my #Blessings. 😋🧀💛 This is a quirky & fun foodie book.

1) My parents are excited to host in their new house, so my husband and I are bringing side dishes and staying over to visit the Christmas market on Friday.
2) The tagged book showcases best friends and found families, supporting both family and strangers through hard times, and celebrating good food made well (especially cheese!)

“In my experience there‘s not a state in the world,” Fee said matter-of-factly, “that cannot be greatly improved by close proximity to cheese.”
Pretty much my philosophy of life too.😉🧀💛 This is a fun quirky book set on a small Irish cheese farm. A good foodie read.
A lovely story about three intersecting lives on an Irish dairy farm. The cheese adds a bit of magic to the mix! 🐄
I grabbed some cheese for a snack. Pilot decided that he needed cheese, too and braved the steps onto my bed. Of course, he was so focused on getting to the cheese, he nearly fell off the steps halfway up. 🤭😂(Sorry for the bad quality photo, but my iPad doesn‘t have a flash, my phone is out of reach, and migraines require dark rooms). #dogsoflitsy #snugglebunny #JustHereForTheFood
I'm sure none of my friends could ever have guessed that a quirky magical-realist fluffy-with-dark-edges cheesemaking romance would be right up my alley. None at all.
I read this a little while ago, and it fits nicely into #foodiefiction . #readjanuary
Now that the excitement of the day is winding down, Mr Hoopiefoot and I can do what we do best: snuggling and reading quietly.
This is my recommendsday pick. I read it 10 years or so ago, and it has always stayed with me. Really quirky, set in Ireland if I recall. Weird cows who only give milk for pregnant women, so all the milk maids are pregnant. I so loved this book. I mentioned it to someone the other day and they had read it too. We had a lovely chat about it.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this book and the accents on the audio. I almost caught myself saying 'fecking' yesterday. Prolly one step away from making cheese on a Ireland dairy farm.
Finished up my scary book so starting on the next Overdrive selection!
