I FINALLY went back & read & finished this book because I‘m still 1 behind in the published books & just got an #ARC for the newest. This wasn‘t my favorite in the series, which is why I put it down originally. While I liked the 80s flashbacks & getting to know more about Juliet‘s father, his journal entries didn‘t read like a journal to me & that made them feel inauthentic & bogged it down. Still a pick for characters & a setting I enjoy though.

. . . a unique story that tugged on my heartstrings. This series features some of my favorite cozy characters.

It has been a dumpster fire🔥of a week & it looks like more to come, so a little break in my happy place was needed. You can‘t tell from the pic but it‘s been a drizzly morning so I opted for the last dry-ish seat on the upper patio. The tabletop is a bit beat up, but then so I am & I guess it adds character.😉 Anyway the 🌶🥑🍞& 🧊 ☕️ are on point & I have had an #ARC of the latest in a favorite foodie cozy series FOREVER & I need to finish it.

I love of her bake shop mysteries but this was especially rad! I loved going back in time to the 80s and Torte‘s beginning! I also loved getting to meet Juliet‘s dad through an old journal, as someone who lost her father it is wonderful to think about reading your dads words long after he is gone. Dare I say it... this might be my favorite so far!

Finished my first #CozyintheSun read! An absolute wonderful addition to my favorite Cozy Mystery series. I enjoy that this installment references an old diary Jules' dad kept, such a fun spin on a mystery and a beautiful look into what makes Jules who she is. I admit I got teary eyed a few times, following this character for now 11 books has been an investment-a worthwhile one. Can't wait for the next installment!

I have decided to participate in the #CYOReadathon that @Sace is doing!!
My readathon will be today, July 3rd through Monday July 6th. I want to finish as many Cozy Mysteries as I can for #CozyintheSun. I am hoping for at least 4, so one a day. I have been reading for nearly 3 hours and have less than a hundred pages left in the tagged Cozy. Love this idea! Thank you @Sace

I am SO excited for this new Ellie Alexander. This is book 11 in the Bakeshop Mystery books. I love them all. 😍 Glad it came earlier than we normally get our mail. Reading away the day!

I‘m not excited about working from home all day & then going in to work a few hours checking receipts at the door of our retail location late this afternoon & then again tomorrow morning but I‘m happy to help our retail team.

I‘m also thankful & excited about getting an e-book #cozymystery #ARC from one of my favorite series & one from a brand new series today! Cozies are perfect reading for when I‘m tired & it‘s hard to focus.🤗📚 #MarvelousMay
