Recently finished this one. I got it out of a local little free library and admittedly for the cover. I don‘t normally pick up a lot of short story collections but I figured I‘d give a try. I enjoyed some of the stories but by the time it was ending I was just getting into it and wishing there was more of it. Some just made no sense to me. Will be passing this along. I really wanted to like it more.

Some more finds from little free libraries in my area. I‘m in the midst of reading “and I do not forgive you” which is a short story collection. I‘m not always big on short story collections but I loved the cover a lot. Has anyone read any of these or do you like short story collections?

Last post!! Woohoo! Travel to Iowa without traveling tomorrow. Lots of holiday fun. Hope you‘ll join for recipes, jokes, and chat.
Amber‘s collection of short stories came out early in 2020 and features lots of twisted fairy tales. Incredible writing. I cannot wait to chat with her!

This was possibly a bit too much retold fairytales. I read the first story, which was about getting ghosted by a best friend...and the rest of the book was nothing like it! ☹️
There was a story with a child narrator about a ghost in a trailer park, which was brilliant, but otherwise, these stories were just okay for me. I think someone who enjoys fantasy would appreciate the collection more. 3⭐️

Don‘t mind me...🙈...I‘m just reading some short stories. #storyaddict
I sometimes think this is the title of my life 😂
This may be the best short story name EVER.
Far from being as strong as her prior short story collection, I found these stories flat and uninteresting for the most part. 2⭐️
There were a lot of stories in this book that I loved. It deals with difficult issues and does so in a way that I found very effective and even cathartic at times. I also enjoyed listening to this on audio and Chelsea Stephens' narration.

I wouldn't say that I ~got all the stories in this collection, especially some of the shorter flash fiction pieces, but I would say I enjoyed the book overall, and it was a pretty quick read.
Happy international women's day from me and this new short story collection I started this morning 📖
Happy to find this on the free shelf at work. I loved her previous collection and this one starts (dedication and first very short story) quite strongly. Happy Friday!
A #feminist, fabulous collection of short stories. Some were more like fairy tales, but all had real-feeling relationships and hilarious moments (many devastating ones too). If you‘re trying to add more short stories to your 2020 reading list, stack this one!
