At the moment I'm in The Black Country with DI Stone's first case.

I read this fast. I was hooked pretty soon. And although who turned out to be the murderer was a little disappointing, I liked the style of the book and I want to get to know Kim Stone and her team a bit better. So on to the next… 20 installments if I am correct 😀🤣?!
😱😱😱
The prequel to the series and it was good to see how they all started together. Usual gruesome crime and serial killer shenanigans.
I miscalculated and I still have one to read before the next one comes out 😁

Last one before new one comes out 😱
Also read this one at some point over the past few days. I loved seeing how Kim‘s team came together in this prequel. Also got to spend some quality time with a character who is no longer with us. Although I was reminded what a jerk he could be. ☺️ Now I just have the newest entry to look forward to before I‘m up to date. 😩

UK people! 99p today! The prequel to the Kim Stone series. Proper book length, not one of those short stories.
Finally finished this one. Getting back into reading after a crazy month.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I started this book on January 31st. I haven't felt like reading much because that same day, my parents were in a car accident. Dad got to go home that night, mom had to stay in the hospital for 10 days due to her injuries. She's finally back home. I'm finally getting back into reading again now that all that stress is over. 😊
99p today!!! Wooop!
So I just read this book in an hour and a half; it was *that* good!
I love the Kim Stone series anyway, and this is a prequel that explains how the detective and her team came together - just as good as all of the other books in the series, which means a 5 star read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I‘ve felt a bit ‘meh‘ about my books this week... I haven‘t enjoyed the fiction and, whilst, I love NF, sometimes it‘s hard to feel completely swept away by it.
However, whilst desultorily browsing my Kindle for my next commuting read, I recalled I‘d just bought the prequel to the Kim Stone series - result!
I also went back to my birthday gift shelf (pic) and pulled Rotter‘s Club out of the hat... *now* I‘m looking forward to this week! @jhod
