Heartbreaking. Intergenerational trauma is the thread throughout this book, and is so vividly wrought.

Picked this one up from the #littlefreelibrary at my temple. The best part of traveling by plane is long stretches of time to read. Finished one book while I ate breakfast and started this one waiting to board. And of course, I have a third book in my bag, for the flight home. :)
While working on my brakes I realized I had a really bad tire... So off to the shop I went.
Made a horrible, mentally fatal, mistake between leaving the house and sitting down in the wait room. 😭😭
What do people who don't read do in waiting rooms? Getting my car fixed and hanging out with @drokka's #LMPBC pick

I'm giving up trying to read right now, because I've read the same paragraph three times and still don't know what it says. Why am I so distracted? Because our baby granddaughter is on her way! Our son texted us about 4 hours ago that they were at the hospital, and the last report a few minutes ago is that everything is looking good. I am no good at waiting!
Another (!!) So-So to Pan. 😟 Unfortunately this ARC was a PDF and I had to read it on the iPad. The formatting was terrible and for me the story rambling and messy. These two issues had me not connecting to the story and skimming through it.
Can the good times keep rolling for me after finishing the wonderful 'The Secret Wisdom of the Earth' with 'The Waiting Room'? Let's hope so! Have to read it on the iPad though. 👓👀 😣
"Shlomi high-fives the security guard at the entrance." - This is so disturbingly accurate. My childhood in Israel is excellently portrayed in this book.
Set in Haifa, a city that fascinated me when I visited. Can't wait to dig into this.
