Mehso-so

Hmmm..not sure about this one. I usually really like Patrick Ness. It's like..it looks like Patrick Ness, it sounds like Patrick Ness, but it didn't really *feel* like him. If that makes any sense. 🤔
It was an okay read, but missed the mark.

I'm SOOOO excited now to start the next book on my tbr - 'Layla' by Colleen Hoover released yesterday! 💃💃💃

Pickpick

Ugh, this review is a mess & I‘m sorry 😭. Like with most Patrick Ness books, I‘m struggling with how to put all my FEELINGS into words. “Complex” doesn‘t really do his writing & worldbuilding justice. Intricate & gut-wrenching, maybe. This book was no exception, with several layered stories coming together through poignant characterization in Malcolm, Sarah, & Kazimir. My only complaint‘s with the ending. Honestly, did it have to end there? ★★★★☆

WanderingBookaneer I loved the first part but was disappointed by the second. 4y
Sharanya @WanderingBookaneer I hear you on that! I think once the plot twist between parts 1 & 2 solidified everything became more...expected. Except that ending 😭 4y

Current audiobook! I‘m really enjoying this original tale of an alternate history where dragons not only EXIST but its totes NORMAL. I had no idea what to expect from this book - and I still don‘t! Hoping to finish it up this morning while doing some chores.

Lindy Enjoy! I‘m on the waiting list for this. Looking forward to it. 4y

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join the fun if you want.
This is day 62 #bookstoread #tbrpile #bookstagram

hannah-leeloo Beautiful cover 🤩 5y
TheLibrarian If I did this everyday for every unread book in my library, I‘d be posting a picture for almost 4 years 😂😱 5y
StaceyKondla @TheLibrarian - I‘m pretty sure I have enough unread books in my house I‘ll be able to post for several years and then there are the new ones that somehow come home with me from the book store 😂 5y

Sace @TheLibrarian @StaceyKondla Ditto! It's awesome because I'll *always* have something to post here even when I'm in a reading slump, but missing Litsy. This is a brilliant idea! 5y

Onceuponatime Just got this one too! I want to read it right now but I have soooo many other books on my TBR 😂 5y

Patrick Ness is probably my favorite author I have seen live an met. He had this 5 things list that was soooo funny and way more than five things. I can still picture it in my mind. He was nice and generous and so much better than the big name attraction that he was presenting with.

#CoverLove #YA Edition

Out June 2

JamieArc I just saw this today listed as a GoodReads Giveaway option! 5y
IndyHannaJones I cannot wait! 5y
TheLudicReader Lucky you to have met him. I am also a fan. Loved the Chaos Walking series ( and I am never compelled to read series, mostly they feel like money grabs after the first book, but I was 100% invested in those books) Also loved More Than This and A Monster Calls... 5y
