A different kind of cat. 😉
#TemptingTitles #WithCat I‘ve accepted that I can get by with having read only excerpts from this (and The Glass Menagerie and Uncle Vanya) but that I‘m missing a whole level of subtlety to the cultural references in almost half the books I open, so I should really get to these works… @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
1. Yes! I LOVE reading plays 😍. I try to read a handful every year
2. Ideally, I would read it and then watch the performance, but I‘m a happy camper either way 🎭. I definitely miss going to the theater
3. I have the tagged currently checked out from the library and will be digging in soon 🤓

Tennessee Williams plays scream #midlifecrisis and this one is my favorite.
Found these top four books at a little free library in Brunswick right where I was working on Sunday 😃
I must do the rounds and drop my read books off to these lovely little shared libraries.
Thursday is shaping up pretty well when your coworker drops some classic pulp on your desk!!! 😂
Does anyone want to exchange postcards and thriftshop books? I read scandinavian, english, french and german. #Norway #Penpal
#APlay you say? I've got a few of those 😁 As a former theatre major, I've got multiple shelves full of plays! Here's a peek at one.
My fave from this shelf is the tagged play. I 💓 TW.
But the best play I've seen would be Ruined by Lynn Nottage. Absolutely brilliant. What's yours?

These days my morning leave me with a very unsatisfactory amount of reading time. Today, I managed to squeeze in some Williams. This might be my favorite play of his and the Reclam Verlag edition fits snugly in my pocket.
Why central and southern Arizonans read in the afternoon and have no festivals or street fairs in the summer.

I don't own many nor do I read a whole lot of plays. I enjoyed the ones pictured but my all time favorite is The Crucible and Pygmalion.
Because letter B is kicking my butt - going to read this for letter C and then go back. #litsyclassicschallenge @Sarah83
Sienna Miller was absolutely unreal in this🙌🏼 was dying to see the live stream of one of my favourite plays and it definitely didn‘t disappoint (just wish i‘d seen it before I wrote my dissertation on it) 🎭❤️ #catonahottinroof #nationaltheatrelive

Through Maggie and Brick, Williams shows just how complicated marriage can be. Of course I loved the movie as well.
"Maggie: I feel all the time like a cat on a hot tin roof. Brick Pollitt: Then jump off the roof"
You've heard of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, but have you heard of the sequel Cat on a Garage Roof? 😂 He's one of our stray cats. This is his new spot in the backyard!
Mischa in the window. @lemonlime799 I hope tomorrow is a better day. 🐱#littenkitten #catsoflitsy
#MarchIntoReading #BookBags I have a large selection of cloth tote bags. I use them when grocery shopping. But, not this one. This one usually stays in the house and is currently holding some books. I obtained this one at a book festival in Alabama, at the Mississippi booth, of course.
I'm going to use tomorrow to get a leg up on my 2017 reading, so I figured I'd post my December stats today. As you can see, my numbers don't quite add up, but that's because some of the books fit multiple categories. I counted Holidays on Ice as nonfiction, even though it obviously had fiction in it. I wasn't sure how else to categorize it. 😬
I bought this 1955 paperback of the play at a used book store three years ago. I took it down from my bookshelf for the first time last night, to fulfill the read a play part of the Read Harder Challenge. It was engaging and I finished it in one sitting. I think I should add more plays to my TBR.
No playwright has ever created female characters as amazing as those Tennessee Williams wrote. Maggie the Cat: tough, sexy, clever, charming - multifaceted, brilliant.
