Three days back at work-no students until next week. So many changes: classroom changes to create freshman, sophomore, etc. clusters; hybrid planning, co teaching more classes to service students, PD on Covid, SEL, etc. etc. my head is spinning. I can only imagine how parents are feeling! Hence 2 very different books for my scattered brain. Both books #blameitonlitsy
I was thinking of books for #booked2019 prompts & for #irishauthor I wanted to go w a female writer. Only a couple of names (Maeve Binchy, Tana French) immediately came to mind so I decided to put google to work. Of course after I came up w these eight, I‘ve found even more. Who are your favourite Irish women writers?

“Yes, words summon me to the sacramental, unsullied place where my roaming is not halted or harnessed by others. My mind and heart are only free in solitude, and there I must dwell.”
~Nuala O'Connor, Miss Emily
I'm one-third of the way through, & absolutely enjoying this slim novel, full of elegance & integrity. It reminds me quite a bit of Longbourn by Jo Baker, which I also enjoyed. #missemily #nualaoconnor #emilydickinson #bookish #poetry
Hello Littens! I have missed you! Last week I started a new job and so far, so good! I just started to read Miss Emily and I like it a lot. I love Emily Dickinson and I like this fictional account of her life. #catsoflitsy
I am EXTREMELY behind in Litsy posts.
I've had a bit of a reading slump as life has been getting in the way.
Since I have so much else to share I'll simply say that I liked this book.

Library haul!
A little Independence Day color to celebrate this fabulous novel about America's first great female poet, Emily Dickinson.
