The Liar | Nora Roberts

Pickpick

When I don't really know what I want to read, Roberts is usually a safe choice. While this wasn't my favorite romantic thriller of hers, I really enjoyed the characters and wanted to see those happy endings all around.

Always fun to finish the first book of a new year because it fills so many challenges! 😂

LiseWorks I've never read this one . Is it part of a series? 12mo
KadaGul @TheAromaofBooks I collect Nora Robert 📚. Now I have few books 📚 I can fall back on, #JillShalvis #Emily Henry #Julia Quinn #Lyssakayadams the list goes on..... 12mo
shanaqui I've actually never read a Nora Roberts book, but I really want to. I just need to figure out a good one to start on... 12mo
TheAromaofBooks @LiseWorks - No, this one is a stand alone!! 12mo
TheAromaofBooks @shanaqui - She has sooo many books!! Some of her romantic suspense (the suspense is on the light side haha) I've enjoyed are Honest Illusions, Nightwork, and The Reef, among others. If you like straight romance, her Bridal Quartet is SO delightful - I've read those four books multiple times!! 12mo

Emily of New Moon | Lucy Maud Montgomery

Pickpick

It's been years since I read any of the Emily trilogy, and I'm so glad I picked it up again. Emily stands in stark contrast to Montgomery's more famous heroine, Anne (whom I also love dearly). I appreciate that Emily's personality and story line are a bit more up front about the sometimes-harsh realities of life. If you're a writer or a weaver of fancies, or if you like turn-of-the-century writing, I'd recommend this.
