Happy Friday! ❤ I somehow forgot that the newest book in the Wings of Fire series comes put next week! 🎉🐉💕 I'm going to try and catch up by then, but I think it might be a futile effort! Anyone else love this series? It's so cute and fun! Just a breath of fresh air!
pickI have already found a deep love for Peril and I could always understand her because she‘s such an easy character to dislike, but to me she‘s just misunderstood! One of the deepest books out of the series that I‘ve read so far!

Rather than reading, during today's breakfast I watched a Washington Post Live about race and capitalism with Ford Foundation president Darren Walker, so my son offered his breakfast for a breakfast-and-a-book photo.

pickI loved this one! The sass and hilarious comments from Peril made it my favorite so far in the series. My son enjoyed it as well and he interrupted quite a bit with comments like "no! Don't do it!" which told me he was invested in the characters as well.

The kids‘ school had an open house today and this was one of my second grader‘s projects - a book “ball” based on their favourite book.
Eduardo: “This is the final book in a series. I‘ve already read it, but I‘m reading it again because it‘s exciting. The story is about five dragons and a prophecy. The dragons have unique ways of being brave. I like that. My way of being brave is being smart and having ideas.”
so-soThis book was okay, although I felt that the protagonist was slightly predictable. This novel is through the eyes of Peril, someone who has grown up to be a killer but wants to be a good person (dragon?). One of the characters, Cliff, was adorable, and definitely made the book worth it. Overall, the book was creative, though predictable, and gave me a new angle to the Wings of Fire series.
