A must-read for fans of the musical. A deep dive into the creation and development of the musical along with annotated libretto and lovely photos.
(quarantine book #112; read a book set in the 18th century--the libretto is set then, so I'm using that)
Saw this list of audiobooks for theatre fans! Know you‘re missing theatre so wondered if these might help! @DGRachel 😘

This book has been on my #TBR for years: today I finally picked it up & started reading.
One of the highlights of quarantine (lol for me) has been Disney pushing forward their release of their recording of HAMILTON on Broadway. Having watched it at no less than eight (8) times in the last two months, I feel like I‘m getting so much more from this book than I would have if I‘d read it in when I bought it 4 years ago.

@CaliforniaCay 🎉Congratulations on your job as proofreader! Although I'm stepping away from #LitsyLove, please know how much I enjoyed your card. 💌
As we watched the musical last night I knew this was how I was going to be spending today. We saw the show live in London last year and now I‘m quite happy to read about the original cast since I‘ve seen them perform now!
Not sure if I'm going to read my Chapter today for #MyNameIsAlexanderHamiltonReadAlong
Would have to stop singing along to Hamilton Soundtrack. ❤🤍💙
HAPPY HAMILTON DAY!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Not book related but no-one in my household shares my joy and I need to EXPRESS!!!
It was announced this week that the recorded OBC show of Hamilton will be shown on Disney+ in July.
I am beyond ecstatic! I have never been able to afford to see the show in the West End & now I get to see it with the lovely Lin-Manuel Miranda himself in the role he created!
Fellow Hamilfans, feel free to squee your delight in my direction! I totally understand!
THIS IS NOT A DRILL. They're releasing the full show with the original cast on Disney+ in July - A YEAR EARLIER THAN EXPECTED! 👏🏽
This was so good. I have never seen this production but have heard tons about it and I can understand why. This book was so cool all the planning and love that went into this is just mind boggling
This B was gifted to our family after we had the opportunity to see Hamilton the musical. This is a great way to integrate content like SS into reading through IR or SR. I would use UDL principles such as 7.2 for students to discover the life of of one of our founding fathers. The ESOL principles 4 by promoting prior knowledge & 11 placing language in meaningful context. #UCFLAE3414SP20
OMG OMG OMG. This is not a drill! I've seen it four times on Broadway, twice with the original cast, and that in no way lessens my excitement here 😆
Got to watch the musical last night, marking the fourth time I've been lucky enough to watch. Though they were the highest up I've been to date, it was definitely my favorite production to date.
Glad I read this before seeing the musical on Sunday! The script has excellent supplements and Lin-Manuel‘s annotations are fantastic. (Psst... BookOutlet.com is currently selling it for only $15 😮!)
Bought a book bag 😉, bookmarks, (hard to see here) a “I‘m not throwing away my shot!” shot glass. Son got a t-shirt (I‘d have too but the only ones I liked were male/unisex which make me look like a fire hydrant). Hubby got a mug and magnet 😊.
What a show 😍! Yes the stage was partly obscured from our box seats but we still saw a lot. And son got his program autographed afterwards by Burr (today he was played by Andrew Chappelle), Washington, and Lafayette/Jefferson! And the GalaPro app that captions most shows on Broadway (screenshot ☝️) worked very well. Tomorrow I‘ll show what I bought 😊
Binge-reading this!! Yes this is what we got from B&N yesterday. We got last-minute tickets (Via stubhub so I hope they‘re real) to see Hamilton tomorrow! The seats will be just okay but I‘m sure it will still be fun ! Because I‘m deaf I wanted to familiarize myself with the words/plot beforehand. There‘s an app that captions Broadway shows but don‘t know how glitchy it might be. Excited!!
