ENTRIES CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT PDT TONIGHT!
Keep You Close, Her second novel, establishes Karen Cleveland as a first-rate author of tautly-constructed, contemporary, pulse-pounding thrillers. The ending will keep you up at night! 😳 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Random House has generously provided 2 copies for me to give to 2 lucky U.S. residents.

I loved Need to Know. Keep Your Close had some ties to Need to Know, but I felt like it was so easy to guess things going on due to it having the same structure of Need to Know, but with different characters and a slight different outcome. It had good moments, but for me I couldn‘t wait for it to end-not in a good way.

FBI agent Steph‘s son seems to be at the center of a domestic terrorist threat, but she believes he is being set up. I was kept guessing as to who was behind it, which I liked. I didn‘t like Steph as a mother. She constantly left Zach alone and unprotected. Also, what is it with characters having inner psychologists (or goddesses) speak in their heads like a separate entity? Does anyone actually do that in real life?

Need To Know, Karen Cleveland's debut novel, was one of the best books of 2018. With Keep You Close, she establishes herself as a first-rate author of tautly-constructed, contemporary, pulse-pounding thrillers. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Not ground breaking, but a good afternoon‘s read. Political thriller, reads like Homeland v 24!
Originally picked this because of just the blurb. It is about an FBI special agent who is visited by another agent who tells her they need to talk about her son moments after she found a loaded gun in his room. Turned out to be about the FBI, CIA, the Senate, the White House, and Russian spies; and their master plan so it became my #booked2019 political intrigue. Read it in about 2.5 days!

One evening Steph goes into her sons bedroom, just to pick up after him and finds a gun…..i
Her ex and fellow agent tells her Zach is mixed up with an anarchist group, who are planning attacks. Steph is determined and will use all her expertise to find out what is going on and to exonerate her son…….is he innocent ? Where will her loyalties lie….her son or her country?
Had to go pick up Keep You Close by Karen Cleveland from the library today and made a stop in the library bookstore and got The Second Life of Nick Mason by Steve Hamilton for $2. 😊
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ This was fun! I‘ll have to read her other one fthat I own) soon!

I needed a mental break, and this quick but smart thriller did it for me.
It's still early . . . I might go back to sleep for a bit. For now, I'll just read right here . . .
Karen Cleveland's second thriller, #KeepYouClose, is as riveting as her first, #NeedToKnow, which was one of my favorite books of 2018.

How far would you go to protect your teenage child? So far that you are willing to bend or break legal boundaries and those you‘ve vowed to uphold in your career at the FBI? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Karen Cleveland‘s sophomore thriller.
