Silver Borne: Mercy Thompson | Patricia Briggs
31 posts | 123 read | 17 to read
Being a mechanic is hard work. Mercy Thompson, for instance, just spent the last couple of months trying to evade the murderous queen of the local vampire seethe, and now the leader of the werewolf pack - who's maybe-more-than-just-a-friend - has asked for her help. A book of fae secrets has come to light and they're all about to find out how implacable - and dangerous - the fae can be.OK, so maybe her troubles have nothing to do with the job. But she sure could use a holiday . . .

#ReadAway2024 #SeriesLove2024 I‘m still enjoying my re-listen of stories set in the world of Mercy Thompson. A lot has happened in Mercy‘s life during the events of these books and Patricia Briggs is just getting started putting everyone through the wringer. I highly recommend this series.

It‘s been awhile since I read a Mercy book, and so missed her! So much so that I‘m reading the next book in the series now!

I actually really loved this entry in the series (#5). I liked all the pack dynamics and the fae bargains.

This time around it seems that she has something that is wanted by a mysterious fae who will do anything to get it, including hurting people that Mercy loves. On top of that, Mercy is still struggling with her feelings towards Adam and the pack from the last book, giving her something else to think about.

Like I said, trouble loves Mercy.

So I liked it. But it was a little getting to me the whole ownership type of vibe. I know I know it makes sense but for some reason it was... a bit icky at times

I will probably take a bit of a break (maybe) maybe just one book in between. The commute makes me fly through audio books :)

Okay, so not that I don‘t like it. I mean I like the series so far but the “mine” stuff if getting a bit much this book. Not sure if it‘s because I‘ve binged them. Or if it‘s because I have been frustrated with my commute so things that don‘t normally bother me do.. I‘m almost done here.

I am already started on this one.. takes way too long to get to and from work recently. But I‘m enjoying Mercy‘s journey.

So I tore through the first five of these like they were my favorite candy. I might take a break to read a few library books, since there's a time limit on them and I own this series. Love the worldbuilding and fae lore in these.

10/10 Three way tie between Warren, Mercy, and Zee on who's my favourite character. Book #5 out of 11, and I can't wait to see where the author takes this storyline. Another great read for travelling, you get sucked into the story, and by the time you finish and come up for air a bunch of time has passed!

Another fantastic addition to one of my favorite urban fantasy series! I adore Mercy and Adam so their relationship is my favorite part! Such a great series but I recommend reading them in order! So good!

Book #2 for 2018!

"What I forgot is, the line between black-and-white is the line HE draws." - Mercy Thompson
I loved that line! When I heard it (audiobook) I had to write it down so I could mark it later in my kindle book! #quote #mercythompson #adamhauptman

Loved this one! This series just gets better and better with fresh story ideas and character insights. I never know what to expect from the next edition, but I've been pleasantly surprised to find that it's not a repetition of a previous one. #romantsy #osrbc

Mercy Thompson #5. A mysterious phone call and a date gone wrong kick off this installment. This series continues to delight with it's consequences for decisions, events and even emotions/states of mind. I love how Mercy deals with Henry. I love the plot and the growth of various characters. I love this series! Read them all, in order. Definitely worth the investment!

I'm still kind of mad about a plot decision in book 3 that continues to affect the story line & the covers don't get any better. I liked this one overall though and I want to keep reading so it's a pick!

Riveted_Reader_Melissa I love this series! 8y
