Last post from #London I‘m afraid, since I‘m already at Heathrow and on my way back home. London is always a treat, and seeing all the lights and Christmas decorations was amazing. I definitely can‘t complain that my bag is too light, phew 😮‍💨.

Very excited to tick this off my autumn bucket list!! A Dillons coffee cup, a gift from the incomparable @indiaro

The story here is that I work in bloomsbury and for ages I‘d feel a bit sad in the big academic Waterstones on gower st because everyone there was a student and I wanted to do a masters so badly but didn‘t know if I‘d manage it. Now I‘ve officially started my masters i found it really symbolic to get the coffee cup I used to stare at

Emilymdxn in the bookshop. Now I am one of those students! Drinking that coffee! I was worried it was a kind of frivolous purchase but India got it for me and I‘m SO excited to take my coffee to class on Monday in it #scarathlon2022 #teamslaughter @Clwojick +11 2y

So - we haven‘t gone out much but before we go back into a national lockdown took Woodford on his first shopping trip! To a bookshop of course! And one that serves doggy treats from behind the counter! He was an absolute superstar, which is a relief - because most of our walks will take in a bookshop at some point in the future! #dogsoflitsy

#Waterstones have now updated their app and it is so much better you can now purchase books through it and if you have a account you can sign in to it. It was just an app that directed you to the website but it is so much more now.

I may have gone a little overboard on my London #bookhaul, and yes, I bought 2 copies of Good Omens (a U.K. edition and the Waterstones special edition). But it‘s my birthday vacation and I‘ll buy books if I want to! 😂😂😂

I have had the best time in London thanks to @Mitch and Mr. K. ❤️❤️❤️ They told me all the best places to go, and of course, Mitch gave me the best bookstore suggestions. I hate that I have to leave tomorrow.

In_the_stacks Oh I am so jealous! My dream is to go on a vacation and just visit bookstores and coffee shops all day. I am Canadian but my sister‘s wedding was in NYC, and when my Mom and I went down for our one and only visit to NYC we spent 2 out of our 4 days visiting the city browsing books in The Strand haha. 5y

wanderinglynn @ReadingRachael Not the main one. This one was on Malet St near the college. I thought it was really cool and rather large, but @Mitch said the Piccadilly one is even bigger. So we plan on hitting that one either tomorrow or Friday. 😉 5y

ReadingRachael If you haven‘t been to the Waterstone‘s on Piccadilly yet, you should take a peak a couple of doors down at Hatchard‘s (both bookstores are huge but they have a different feel to them.) Needless to say my luggage was a little heavier on my return trip lol! 5y
