So far my least favorite of the series. I thought I was gonna get a nice story centered around Eilonwy and instead got Taran running around the forest for majority of the book and her being nonexistent in the whole story until the end when she does appear and her will is completely stripped of her, zero signs of that strong willed girl from the two earlier books. Just a let down to be honest.

I love these books so much. I wish I had a niece or a nephew I could gift the whole set to for Christmas!

The Castle or Llyr by Lloyd Alexander published in 1966 tells a story of a Princess. The Princess has to leave her home and all her friends to be trained to be a proper lady.

Good but the whole love plot felt nonsensical

I don't really make TBR plans, but here's a couple of short books I hope to finish this weekend. After that, I have no idea what I'll read next. #AugustTBR #ReadingResolutions

Book 3 of the chronicles of Prydain teases the reader with backstory knowledge of one of the main characters, but never really delivers with any gusto. We learn enough to add the shallowest amount of depth, but that's all. That said, this is a wonderful adventure story that indeed adds go the overall scope of the overarching tale.

I remember liking this book the least as a child reading the series, and while I can see why, I actually enjoyed this audio version quite a bit! And while I haven‘t had time for #audiocoloring on my vacation, this older picture seemed fitting! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

#magicalmarch #Castles This is part of Alexander‘s retelling of the Mabinogion. I almost went with Evangeline Walton‘s “the children of llyr” instead but not only is it not in the database, it also has no castle in the title💁🏻‍♀️🏰.

I loved this book - my favourite so far from the series! So interesting to learn more of Eilowny's history.

Really enjoying The Castle of Llyr! Looking forward to some quality reading time this afternoon.
