I was NOT expecting that! Whoa! 😱
Also: of course male Inanna looks like Prince 😂

I kind of remembered how stunning the ending of this was, but not exactly when it came in the series. Yipes. Wow.
I've been in a graphic novel mood the past few days. They're easier to digest while I'm feeling stressed. This series is getting better as it goes on and we learn more about the characters and the fantasy elements. The artwork is vibrantly colored. Excited to learn more now that all of the gods have been revealed
OMG, that ending 🥴😲
That is all I have to say.

The story itself was ok. There‘s still a lot of questions to be answered and the ending tried to be a cliffhanger, which it it was, but also felt like “WTF just happened”. The artwork is still beautiful though. Overall, I think to truly understand this book, there should be some knowledge on greek gods going in.

3/5⭐ The art and colors are seriously superb, pure magic. I continue to love the Morrigan and to an extent Baphomet. While I mostly enjoy my experience reading this story, there's no lasting impact for me that makes me particularly want to return or care too deeply about the characters, probably because I am completely lost on how the magic works, what the characters' motivations are, and what is going on with the plot. #projectSAMS
It is a poor critic who says that a lack of effect on them implies all others are insincere in their love. #projectSAMS
Moved really fast, it felt like, but I could look at Jamie McKelvie‘s art and Matt Wilson‘s colors for years, and I truly believe Kieron Gillan‘s comics writing is like waaay too smart for me.
Uh, wow. What just happened? I mean I know what happened...but WOW—maybe even better than the first volume. No giving the plot away so...the story is full of twists & turns & “what-the-what” moments (love those moments). The artwork is awesome throughout but there is a party scene that is truly spectacular & so immersive it leaves you as dizzy as the partygoers. Fame, fan(atics), celebrity, obsession continue to be important themes. A great read.
“...a China Miéville girl.”
I like the way Cassandra thinks...
Ok, who actually thought I‘d be able to stop after Vol. 1?!? 😂 Oddly enough—ok, I confess it was on purpose—I hit the comic store earlier today to get some comics for the kids. Picked up Dragon Ball for my son and the tagged book for my daughter. Perhaps I‘ll preview it for her, make sure I think she‘ll like it...That would be the responsible parent thing to do, right? Right! I‘m glad we‘re in agreement.
Read the first volume years ago. Decided to continue it and glad I did! I need to start the next one after the ending to this one!!
The end of this volume was brutal and since the library doesnt have the next volumes, I just ordered the hardcover collection of the next two volumes.
This volume was much better than the first but there‘s still room for improvement in the clarity of writing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Wicked + The Divine is very LGBTQ+ inclusionary but Vol 2 was a particularly good read on Knoxville Pride day!
Of the volumes I've previously read, this one is probably my favorite.
The weekend was quite stressful, so this was perfect to get my mind in relaxation mode for today. Although the ending is a bad cliffhanger... 😒
1. On top of my head, the Wicked + Divine graphic novels
2. I've stopped playing favorites in a long while, I'm more inclined to list songs, as will be revealed in #4.
3. Lea Salonga's February 2017 concert. It's the latest and therefore the greatest.
4. Adam Levine's "Lost Stars" and I'm a sucker for Bruno Mars' "Finesse" this late. Any Paramore song circa-2000. Daft Punk's "One More Time".
Loved this one. Thanks @Joscho! #ManicMonday
Dammit... I wasn‘t crazy about the first volume, but interested enough.
I got through this thinking, I can let go of this now - don‘t need to go on with this one.
And thennnnn... the last 20-30 pages of this just grabbed me.
And now I have to get the next one.

This is incredibly awesome and gorgeous, but this issue left me shocked and heartbroken. WTF, Ananke??!????!
Still, I love this. Even more than Saga 😦
Second issue down! I think I have another one on hold... I love this series and I‘m only two in but that ending... What, what??!
In an effort to help the Austin Public Library meet its 1,000,000 Overdrive checkouts I‘m continuing with the series. Now that I‘ve been to comic conventions and similar events, and have learned more about various fandoms, I can relate a lot more to the content in this issue.
Whaaaaa?! No! Man, with the introduction of Dionysus and the three fates. And the ending.. 😱😢 definitely need the next one!
Startling, beautiful, sad, exceptional! And my library doesn't have the third volume on Overdrive so I can't check it out tonight. Or I'd be up all night reading it. What's next?
Using the #slaythatseriesreadathon to catch up on The Wicked + The Divine. I like the premise and love the art.
Another interesting read. The authors are in major world and myth building mode but I am enjoying it so far. I am interested to see what the end game is for all this. Also that ending was crazy.
My evening has been a cup of Lapsang Souchong & and indulging in some more mythology themed comics.
My pick for #aprilbookshowers #mythology. I read the first volume and loved it - now I need to read these. The premise, every 90 years 12 gods return as young people, but in 2 years they're all dead. 💕
Ehh I'm not sure how I feel about this series. I don't really get what's going on most of the time.
Got to love it when your graphic novel has a Prince look a like in it ;)
"While reading, I found myself staring at each page just to admire everything. But it did not change the fact that I'm still lost in the story." #StyleReaderLibrary

I devoured this volume! In ❤️!
Ahhhhh so good!!!! Need more!!!!
Second #libraryhaul of the month. Trying to get as much reading done as possible before classes start 😬📚🤓#bengalibookworm #bookblogger #bookstagram #book #bookish #bookworm #bookaholic #bookaddict #booksofinstagram #booklove #library #librarylove
So this accidentally ended up my first comic of the year as I was staying round a friends who'd already started me on this series. This comic has a great diverse cast but the creative team is mostly male from what I can tell. I do though really like this series and don't want that to put anyone off. Once again the ending on this was kinda explosive and left me wanting more. The artwork is great too
I reached 500! I know that's a tiny number for some but it's a milestone for me. So thank you!
When you visit a good friend and get to borrow some books! #bookbuddies #besties
This entry in the series was okay/good. The artwork is what keeps me coming back, though the storyline isn't bad. Love that there's a Prince-like character in Inanna (pictured), and that the first volume had a Bowie character in Luci. Kind of nervous to see what happens next, with that twist ending!
The Faust Act (Vol. 1) was good, Fandemonium (this one, Vol. 2) is even better! So many twists and turns and revelations that I did not see coming and what an ending! Wow!
I'm still pretty new to comics so I feel like I'm always in a state of catchup when it comes to ongoing series, which is true of this series. I bought all 3 volumes of the trade at once and I'm now moving onto Vol.2 after reading Vol.1!
WTFFFFFFFFFFFFF?!??!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Holy catfish, what just happened?!? Arrrrgh. Now I have to wait for another ILL to come in to find out. 😱😱😱
I like these month by month summaries as a way to track my reading. It felt like I wasn't reading much this month, but I guess that's because I didn't like some of the books I read for work.
This series is such a great read and follow up from Phonogram.
