My current read I got from the library recently.
Tough subject matter made this kind of hard to read- in the same vein as We Need to Talk About Kevin. I do recommend it though.

Whoa! Talk about triggers! This book deals with a school shooting from the perspective of 17 different people. It was really good, but sad at the same time. #LMPBC

Reading this one for LMPBC and it‘s making me sad. Doesn‘t help that it‘s a gloomy day! Also in the middle of The Goldfinch for a neighborhood book club. Another uplifting read!
Read for this latest round of #lmpbc so I won‘t say much here since the other readers in my group haven‘t gotten it yet.
However, I will say that I enjoyed the format of this book; I didn‘t expect something written by 18 people to come across so cohesively. It is also an interesting take on a subject that‘s been well documented - school gun violence. If you have an interest in this subject, I would recommend this one.
Check out what I started reading this week! I‘m about half-way through already and really enjoying it. #lmpbc

This is not a perfect book but it certainly is an important one that I won‘t soon forget. It‘s given me a lot to think about that I expect to chew on for a while.

I‘m feeling #summerlove right now as my husband and I sit on the deck to read. Unfortunately, Jude isn‘t feeling it, as he is desperately scratching at the screen door in an effort to join us. #songsofsummer @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @OriginalCyn620
I guess I‘ve written the clothing brand name Xhilaration out one too many times because my brain initially registered this as a misspelling. 😂
This book was written in such an interesting way. The story of a school shooting told from over ten POVs. The chapters did not all take place in order and happened before, during, and after the event.
This book has left me feeling very restless. I read it in one sitting this afternoon. The format was interesting although I am unsure what the significance of certain POVs were. Such a sad, yet realistic subject matter.
Among the reasons I attended NoVaTeen was to see Eric Smith. Eric lived in Richmond for too brief a time, and many of us miss him. Glad he made it. Saw him with Anna-Marie McLemore and Shaun David Hutchinson on a panel about anthologies. Was a great conversation with some interesting insights into how anthologies are made. #novateenbf #NTBF18
I finally finished! I definitely found this book interesting. I love the idea of writing from the different perspectives. Though some of the perspectives felt unnecessary to me. I could've lived without the chapter coming from the gun's point of view 🤗
A story of a school shooting told through #seventeen POVs...

I don't usually like compilation books but holy shit did I love how this was written. The stories were all done well but the only thing I wish is that we would have gotten a story from Kirby's POV
A really interesting high-concept teen novel - 17 YA authors each write a chapter using different witnesses/POV (including one that was very unexpected) to try to explain the unexplainable: a school shooting. I'd really like to talk to the editor and ask about the order of stories (which had some interesting pairings/callbacks) and why they chose these specific POV.
Read for the Teen Book Group at my store.
17 perspectives of a school shooter from 17 different authors. GREAT read!
Highly recommended by my teen, so it's next up on my summer reading list.
This is the story of Kirby, a young man that brought a gun to school, killed students and a teacher, and then himself. His story is pieced together in seventeen stories of those whose lives have been affected forever by this horrifying event. Chilling.
