Uhm well it has pirates but na
This is a scandalous breech of aeronautical law as I‘ve ever encountered. I like this line because it is so descriptive and has a lot of weird words that I‘ve never heard of.

Escape to a time when airplanes have not been invented and airships rule the skies. A cabin boy and a passenger discover a species of flying creatures and the perils that happen while trying to prove they really do exist. I enjoyed this story much more than I expected and would definitely recommend!

Tagged book is my #bookspin and The Fifth Season is my #doublebookspin for November. Both are library books, so that makes me excited to get them knocked out!

Matt Cruse was born in the air. To him, the sky is home. He‘s aways felt safe aboard the airship, until now. In an alternate world where airplanes never existed, Matt goes on an adventure like none before. A hint of romance, a handful of adventure, and nothing but excitement about what‘s going to happen next. If you like books with adventure and pirates, then this is the book for you. ( continued in the comments ;)
This book was just so sweet and charming. It was a delight to read and I loved the action and adventure in it. The female protagonist could be a bit irritating at times, but was still a fun character. I‘m definitely going to read the other two in this series.
Great action audiobook with pirates, airships and romantic attractions. Think Kate Winslet as the heroine, as it kind of parallels Titanic-like moments.
This was my 2nd ya #steampunk for #booked2018. An airship cabin boy strives to rise above his circumstances to hopefully one day become an airship captain. When a girl boards the airship in the hopes of spotting a fantastical creature first seen by her grandfather - the two join together for an adventure featuring pirates and a shipwreck. I enjoyed this one and think I‘ll read it with my son when he‘s a bit older (I‘d say for 8 and up).
This was my streampunk book for #Booked2018 and I probably wouldn‘t have read it if not for the prompt, but I am really glad I did.
This was a fun, adventure-filled YA romp, and the audio is excellent... a full cast recording with music between chapters. It was like listening to a movie.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Scene from my #audiowalk at lunch earlier today... this is right before I had to move off the trail for a city truck driving down it for some unknown maintenance. I promptly stepped into a little hole and twisted my ankle. I had to walk/limp another mile after that before I gave up and called for backup from my bff. Ouch. 😰
Up until that 🤬 truck, it was an excellent walk with a fun book!
This was my #firsttime reading Steampunk and I‘m not sure I would read anymore. I‘m not a fantasy lover and dirigibles with air pirates and unknown flying creatures attacking while shipwrecked on a secret island had me shaking my head. It was very entertaining but I could only think #areyoukiddingme 🤦🏼♀️

This was the perfect rainy day to finish my first steampunk novel. Phew! Airborn is a mashup of Flight of Dreams, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Jurassic Park! I would never have known about this genre or read if not for #booked2018. #blameitonlitsy #myfirstandlaststeampunk
Sorry I read this early but I was anxious to cross steampunk off the list. ✔️
Congratulations @callielafleur on your milestone! It‘s my granddaughters nap time and as I sit next to her, I am pondering all these books next to my bed that are started and then put aside. I wonder if I will ever pick them up again? The two in front are current reads and the rest are in the unfinished book graveyard. #litsyisthebestus
Today‘s Library haul. I was in a hurry so I would‘ve picked up more steampunk but this was all I could manage. The librarians were super helpful So one librarian that feels the way I do about SP (🙄)recommended Airborn. The other was recommended by @julesG - The Watchmaker... I‘m aiming for Soulless graphic novel if these don‘t work. The third book is something I actually want to read. 😁thanks for all suggestions everyone!
Good luck @Cinfhen
I had this on hold at the library and it took forever to come in. I'm so happy to have finally read it. I accidentally read the second book in the series first, so now I just have the final book in the trilogy to look forward to. I can't wait!
Two of the books I'm #currentlyreading have pirates in them in the parts I'm reading. It's confusing my brain.
The full cast audio of this is fantastic! Action-packed, I really just liked this. I don't know. I'll probably pick up the second one, Skybreaker.
I remember reading this book long before I ever heard of " #steampunk ". When that term finally rolled up in my consciousness I realized this book perfectly fits the category (and not on some "just put some gears on it to make it steampunk" way). A plus? This book rocks!!! Reading it is kinda like watching a video-game/movie play out in your head. ????? all the way! @RealLifeReading #SeasonsReadings2016
I enjoy fantasy and science fiction, but #steampunk never really hooked me. The few I've read I feel lukewarm about...maybe the one I had the most fun with was Airborn, which I had to read for a teen readers advisory class. It's a good adventure book that bridges middle grade and young adult fiction well, and the families I've recommended it to loved it. So there's that! #SeasonsReadings2016
