I‘ve always loved the three musqueteers, but thought the killing of milady just because she was at some point a thief was unfair( talking about the first time Athos tries to kill her)
I am glad someone else agrees with me and has written a whole novel exculpating Milady👍

Oh, how I loved this book. Milady is the nemesis of the Three Musketeers. This book is full of love, betrayal, spying, scheming, loss and redemption. Who could ask for more in a book.

This is the story of Milady de Winter, nemesis of D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers. It's been a long time since I read The Three Musketeers and I don't remember much from it, but I still enjoyed this book completely.

On a side note, this style of cover seems to be a new trend, and I don't find it appealing at all. I can't quite figure out what I don't like about it, but I know I don't like it. But the book was good!

Wow. I cannot remember the last time I read a book this good. This book has it all, and I won't say a word about the content because it is so masterfully presented and weaved together that I could not reveal one thing without revealing all. Just do yourself a favor and pick up this book and read it ASAP. If you love spies, English court life, historical fiction in general, strong women, and the ties that bind, this book is for you.

This book is everything I wanted! It‘s so good! This book follows a small country girl on her journey to become the most dangerous woman in France.

The tale of Milady de Winter from her perspective. Here for it. I flew this. I will evangelize for this one hard.

This book is amazing! The feminist perspective on the Three Musketeers I have wanted for forever. Please, please!! read this book. Milady is a badass!

Do you ever have to look up a word while reading and think “there had to be an easier way to say that”? Today I learned this word.

Well-written and hard to put down.
If you like well-researched historical fiction with strong feminist undertones, then you will probably enjoy this book.
Personally I found it difficult to sympathize with the main character - she did a lot of questionable things and made a lot of bad choices - but this was a fun read nonetheless.
