Book 206 of the year.
October hopefuls.
5/5 for the third in this series! I just love this series. Lana is such a lovable character. I love her family and the community. I cannot wait to read the next one. The twist was surprising. I highly recommend this series.
This cozy mystery series set in Cleveland‘s “Asia Village” shopping plaza is just what I need in between heavier reads. The characters are mostly not white, their culture and heritage is a big part of every story, and the mysteries are pretty solid (although I did figure this one out before the climax). The titles and covers are awesome too — I think this is my favorite cover so far! 😍

It has always fascinated me how books of all styles and genres can have an impact on a person. A book can shape someone; change their life, impact or re-create them, entertain them or influence them.”
When your city is practically shut down because of a viral plague and you‘re quarantined, reading a cozy mystery series makes sense, right? Stay safe out there folks!
With engaging characters and a great mystery spiced up with the perfect amounts of humor and romance, she has served up a real treat.

What drew me to this series were the covers. I especially like this one, with the skull-shape in the noodles (there‘s a skull on every cover). Anyway, this wasn‘t my favorite of the series, but I did enjoy it. A murder occurs at Cleveland‘s Best Noodle Contest and Lana goes into amateur-sleuth mode. With some easy twists and turns thrown in, this is a very easy and cozy book to read. But now I want some noodles.
#CurrentlyListening to the third #NoodleShopMystery, a fun series of #cozymysteries set in a colorful Asian-themed shopping plaza.
I like this series a lot - the MC is running her family‘s Chinese restaurant and the murders happen in the shopping center where the restaurant is. This is #3 in the series and they‘re fun! Also, #ReadingUSA friends, if you need #Ohio, these are set in Cleveland. #CozyInTheSun
I absolutely love the Noodle Shop Mystery books. Lana‘s family restaurant enters a noodle contest and murder is on the menu. Lana and her adorable pug, Kikko, are on the trail to find the killer.
This was a fun easy read, I really enjoy the cast of characters- this murder was a little unbelievable, but still a fun read.
A few things you should know about me:
1. I love cozies.
2. I am a chubby Taiwanese woman.
3. I love food.
Murder Lo Mein basically checks my boxes.
This is a cute cozy that feels a bit more modern than other cozies; it‘s humorous and situations don‘t drag on too long. I love the inclusion of Asian characters and Chinese food; I am loving the spate of Asian protagonist lately & am super excited to read a cozy featuring an Asian protagonist!
