I absolutely LOvE this book.In India,we first got cable TV in the 90s,and MTV here basically dumped all their 80s videos on us-so people my age(born in the late 80s)have a lot of nostalgia for 80s music-those were the first music videos we were seeing!This book captures that so well

Another great Rob Sheffield book about music! I love music, especially 80s music, so this was a lot of fun to read. And I love his writing style!

Giving my eyes a rest and my body a walk with this audiobook.

Music journalist Rob Sheffield understands there is a soundtrack to our lives. This memoir covers growing up in the 80's and how the music era shaped his life. I love that he seamlessly mixes life and music in an entertaining way that many people can relate to. If you love pop culture, this is definitely a recommended read!

This is a look into the authors adolescence through the 80's, how he grew up from the age of 13 until adulthood with music being a serious force and influence. Each chapter has a song title (his fav from that year) I loved the introduction which talked quite a lot about DD, but then they're gone until the last chapter. The rest of the book was quite boring. 👇

Next up. I need something light and quirky. I'm hoping this is it. 😛
