2024 review.
I pretty much stand by my 2018 review. Although it's a twisty case, there are moments when your attention wanders & it seems to go on forever before the long awaited conclusion. I'm also remembering why Maeve Kerrigan's character irritated me in these first few books. 3⭐

Maeve Kerrigan returns in a case that starts off with paedophiles being tortured and murdered and ends with an even more twisted tale of kidnapping and imprisonment of young women. Despite this, parts of the book dragged a little and at times the most interesting part was the on/off relationship between Kerrigan and Rob Langton. 3mo
