#TheClose #JaneCasey #20in4 #Readathon #BookSpinBingo #SeriesLove2023

DS Maeve Kerrigan and DI Josh Derwent move into Jellicoe Close in order to uncover the truth about all the dark secrets hiding behind the neat front doors. They are posing as a couple and have no idea of the danger they face because someone in Jellicoe Close has murder on their mind.

EadieB This is the 10th book in the Maeve Kerrigan series. I have been reading this series from the start and I am really enjoying the entire series. I love all the characters which makes the book even more enjoyable. The book can be read alone but the series is more enjoyable if you read them in order from the beginning. The plot of this book is very different than the ones before as this is the first one that Maeve and Josh have finally done together. 1y
EadieB The story is told in the first person POV from Maeve so we get a real close picture of things that are happening. I am now looking forward to the next book in the series. Read this book and find out all the dark secrets of Jellicoe Close. If you like suspense with your mysteries then you will love this book. (edited) 1y
TheSpineView Sounds good! Great job 1y

#BookSpinBingo

I‘ve read all of Jane Casey‘s Maeve Kerrigan series and found them to be excellent reads. This standalone is a slow burn with lots of tension. The stalker claims he is the only one who can save her. The characters are well-developed but they don‘t know who they can trust. The book has an intriguing plot with lots of twists and turns and a good ending. If you love gripping psychological thrillers then you will enjoy this one!

Lots of secrets are uncovered and Maeve finds out what happened to Paige. excellent plot and characters developed. best book in the series. revealing about Maeve's relationship with Seth & DI Josh Derwent's background. The Missing | Jane Casey

Casey‘s debut psychological thriller. I would have to say that she has been talented right from the start of her writing career! Thought I knew who the killer was but a surprise twist right at the end took care of that thought. I have read all her books at this point but I am anxiously awaiting another Kerrigan book coming out in April. If you haven‘t read Casey yet, what are you waiting for? She does not disappoint! #TheMissing #JaneCasey

Andrew65 Great review and like you I followed the same plan with the killer. 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 She led us down that path! 5y

Hide and Seek | Jane Casey

Last book in the YA Jess Tennant series. Gilly Poynter, one of Jess‘ classmates, is missing. Jess helps to find her but ends up in danger. Casey succeeded with another hard to put down thriller with surprising plot twists and intriguing characters. I enjoyed the entire trilogy! I‘m looking forward to the next Maeve Kerrigan book coming out in April and highly recommend both series.

Port Sentinel near Devon UK - Jane Casey can write YA too! 16 year old Jessica Tennant and her mom holiday in her mom‘s hometown where Jess‘ cousin, Freya, was murdered last year. Jess is bound and determined to find out who did it but will be putting herself at risk. Well-developed characters. Gripping book and hard to put down. Surprise twist and cliffhanger at the end makes you look forward to the next book. Recommend

Cruel Acts | Jane Casey

Leo Stone was convicted of being a serial killer. He‘s free due to a mistrial. DS Maeve Kerrigan and DI Josh Derwent are determined to review all the evidence prior to his retrial. Maeve is not sure he‘s guilty.
Maeve is contacted by Rob which complicates her friendship with Derwent. Cliffhanger about a new love interest has me waiting for the next book which comes out in April. Recommend this series but should read these books in order.

Andrew65 Looking forward to the new one. 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 Definitely can't wait to read that one! 5y

Det Maeve Kerrigan & DI Josh Derwent are called back to London while attending a wedding. A policeman has been murdered. The secret that her boss, Godley, has been keeping for years is going to blow up in his face. Lots of transitions going on in Maeve's life. I need to find out what will happen with Maeve's relationships & with her job. Best book of the series and makes you want to read the next book. Highly recommended!

#MaeveKerriganSeriesRead #JaneCasey
Doing this one by audiobook.

Tove_Reads How are you doing on this one? 5y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads I‘ve finished, how about you? 5y
Tove_Reads I‘ll finish it later today. When are we reading the next Cara Black? I couldn‘t find the second book, so I ordered it today. It‘ll take more than a week to get it. 5y

Andrew65 @Tove_Reads We had set today‘s date for the Cara Black Book, I‘ve had to use audio to do it. What are your thoughts on The Kill? 5y
Tove_Reads Ok, I‘ll just catch up when I get the book. I like it, maybe not my fave in the series, but I do enjoy her writing. I love Maeve, although I don‘t always feel she‘s making the right choices. Actually, that is probably good, since people rarely act the way I want them to 😁 5y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads I felt the second half was better than the first half, felt it took a long while to get going in the first half and for me to be that interested in the plotting. Very interesting towards the end which makes me wan to read the next one. 5y
