Oh, I loved this book. De Lint's Newford - where magic lives right on the verge of reality. He addresses so many difficult subjects with such sensitivity. And his characters might be some of my favorites. Can't wait to jump into the third Newford book. #NewfordOrBust

Finished the last bit of this one on audio this morning. This book spoke to the very heart of me. It was such a profoundly healing and inspiring process to journey through it with its characters. I cannot wait to continue my travels in Newford. ✨🎶🎨🗝

Not to delve too much into spoilers but #DrJekyllandMrHyde made me think of the villain in this wonderful book about a woman whose paintings come to life.

I haven't read this in probably 15 years, but I still remember how shocked I was when his kindness turned into extreme cruelty.

Newford - DeLint's north american city where reality & fantasy overlap. Lots of recurring locales and characters throughout his Newford books so you really get to know the place & all the interesting folk inhabiting it. Enjoy!
