I almost bailed on this book a couple times, but decided to stick with it—and I‘m glad I did! Omat‘s story, I think, is powerful and important. #bookspin
This little sweetheart is keeping me company as I read! #dogsoflitsy
Part magical realism, part indigenous arctic circle history, part Viking history, this book is just beautiful. An Inuit baby is born with the body of a female but the spirit of a male. Interesting take on transgender.
For fans of Inuits, Vikings and ancient gods.
This was recommended by a friend and fortunately my library had an ebook available.
I‘m trying to get out of my book slump - maybe this will do.
The Wolf in the Whale is a coming of age story. Its a story about a girl raised as a boy who also learns to accept they are a woman and can be both without compromising who they are. It‘s about the struggle to find that balance. It‘s a fascinating story about clashing gods, people, and faiths.

#pulledthebookmark after it got rapey. I have no time or energy for sexual violence right now.
Kindle daily deal alert.
Some other big ones that I passed on because I‘ve already read:
No Exit
Before She Knew Him (it was great!)
The Seven or Eight Deaths of Stella Fortuna
The Dreamers
The Trials of Lizzie Borden
Unmarriagable (this is on the MMD summer reading guide)
I just started this one last night, and even though I have books due back sooner I‘m completely sucked in to this story. We‘re having a bit of a heat wave, so I‘m enjoying imagining all that arctic ice. #currentlyreading
The story is picking up, some harrowing scenes of survival and brutality, as well as some great questions about spirituality and sexual identity. I was thinking about this book a lot today at work, hoping to finish in the next few days.
March break is just about over, not much reading got done. Didn‘t finish my last book, not feeling it. Hope this goes a little better. I‘ve got 8 days to finish 🙄 and hockey playing in the background
Well.......... 📖😻 #bookswithbohemianyogini #mycatCJ #catsoflitsy
This book had so much potential. It just went on SO long. I think she tried to squeeze too many ideas into this one.
I really enjoyed learning about the Inuits the most.

1. Healthy, cooked meals.
2. A non-romance/erotica author with a lot of books.
3. Any number of bad guys. Grell from Black Butler, Sesshōmaru from Inuyasha, Loki, Poison Ivy, Prince Zuko, Silver (the rival in the Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal games).
4. Night owl, definitely.
5. Will try!
-this is a day late, sorry @howjessreads
-the tagged book is an ebook I won from Goodreads a few days ago. Has anyone read it? Any good?
Friday at #NYCC18 New York Comic Con at the Revisiting History panel. Sorry Peter Tieryas & Richard Kadrey may be a bit cut off on the edges. With Charlaine Harris, Jordanna Max Brodsky, & Lisa Maxwell.
