Greek gods and awesomeness 👍
First book of #24in48 complete! And OMG! Completely unexpected! Seeing how the novel (series/trilogy) I‘m writing is about Athena & I‘ve studied her in depth for years, I often HATE how writers portray her. But Kendare Blake GOT HER RIGHT. GREAT application of Myths & Homer. Also Athena hanging out with Hermes & Odysseus...YES. Also, Athena x Odysseus ♥️ (while I prefer Athena/Telemachus, Odysseus was reincarnated, 18, & single, so not weird).
I ❤ Kendare Blake's Three Dark Crowns series and should really try her Goddess War series, which was inspired by her love of The Iliad & The Odyssey.

#mythology is day 3 of #aprilbookshowers and I almost forgot about this book! Antigoddess features probably one of the most badass and close to death versions of Athena and Hermes I've read, who are caught in a battle against the other dying Greek gods. Seriously. So badass. Athena literally has owl feathers growing out of her internal organs and sprouting from her skin and Hermes' body is metabolising itself.

If there's one thing I'm obsessed with, it's Greek mythology. This is portrayal of gods/goddesses is one that isn't usually used too often and it's really fun to see the other side of the story! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #LitsyAtoZ @BookishMarginalia #readharderchallenge #bookaboutwar
I've been awake for 16 hours, travelling for 15 of those; I'm beginning to think the travel gods actually enjoy watching me suffer, but it's all worth it because I'm in France! 🎉🎉🎉 plus I got some good reading in!
Off to France today! I swear, the best part about train travel is getting to see the mountains. Well, that, and reading 😉
