Since it‘s #StGeorgesDay here‘s a book with dragons. All sorts here.. some are funny and mischievous, others are frightening. There‘re princesses to be rescued, and there‘re daring heroes and princes to challenge the dragons.

Another bail from serial reader. I‘m not having any luck with them so far this year.
If you are Welsh, a St. George Illawarra Dragons fan, or if you came to your love of dragons through peaceful means (How to Train Your Dragon, Jane and the Dragon, etc) DO NOT read this book. This is almost cliche evil dragon, we must be rescued by a hero crap. The writing is nice as it‘s from 1901, but it‘s also sexist as hell because it‘s from 1901. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
Laughing, because the greedy person that came to mind first also looks like he‘s had four helpings of pudding on MANY occasions (possibly at every opportunity).

This is amazingly accurate.

Finished this with my daughter last night. Not as good as Nesbit‘s novels, unfortunately, and decidedly not for dragon lovers (the dragons don‘t turn out well).
I found the stories dated, more so than the novels, and Nesbit‘s habit of directly addressing the reader was rather annoying. But still interesting ideas, so a so-so.
I liked the actual stories but found the narration old-fashioned in a bad way. I might have liked this better as a kid.

"I want to #bewithyou every morning."
About the only time this guy hangs out with me is in the morning while I lie in bed reading and drinking coffee. He spends most of his time with my husband.
(Sorry this isn't a specific book post.)
Giving #serialreader a try again. I've read a few books on it. I do better with the shorter ones, but I've put some longer ones on my to read later list.
Thanks Kerry!! @kezzlou85 What a nice parcel to come home to! #litsypenpals the sleeve is brilliant and I love the quote too! X
?Someone please tell me that E. Nesbit meant something different by this sentence than what immediately comes to mind for me. Why would a young man at Oxford be "thoroughly plowed"? This is a children's book!
Neat illustrations in this book of dragon tales. 🐲 Have a scroll down on this title, and you'll notice The Book of Dragons can be read on the #serialreader app. 📚📲
Happy Thanksgiving, Litsy! Considering we don't celebrate it here in good old Denmark it's been all over the media these past few days - especially the concept of Black Friday, which we have for season reason taken in like a goddamn stray. So much Black Friday. Exhausting. I need to sleep. Anyway, don't flay your family and friends at dinner tonight, people. Be the bigger person. Argue well. Don't have nasty tongues like these snakes. Goodnight ❤️
This is somewhere in my daughter's room, but if I go in there I'll start freaking out at the mess, so internet pic is the saner, safer option. 😂This was a read aloud when my girls were little that they both liked enough to read on their own later. I remember liking how strange these tales were. #photoadaynov16 #herebedragons @RealLifeReading
