I can hardly believe it, but today‘s episode of my pod is the last of New Reads November 2019 + I can‘t think of a better way to wrap up than with a conversation about Opposite of Always (which was requested by many listeners!). Hard to put down kind of book...reminded me of a teenage version of the Time Travelers Wife.

A teen falls in love. When something bad happens he somehow travels back in time to when he first met the girl. He relives their relationship over and over trying to fix how it ends. He learns a capital L Lesson.

Between a so so and a pan. I was bored. It was repetitive and I had a hard time figuring out the point of it. And WHY? WHY does this happen? No answer. Ugh!

Wasn‘t sure I would get this done before the audiobook is due back to the library but I have to make time because the beginning is so good.

I got this in my Scribbler box, & while Contemporary YA isn‘t really “my thing”, I found this book to be an utter delight! Yes, it has a few YA tropes in it (unavoidable), but the voice of the narrator and the dialogue is so witty and sometimes even a bit meta, that it calls on those tropes a bit & makes for such a fun reading experience. It‘s very well written. Recommended for anyone who wants a nice “breather” book ♥️

I make some mean Brussels sprouts. They‘re actually my fiancé‘s fave. Can‘t say we associate Brussels sprouts with bad times and dinners.

This book! I can‘t stop laughing! Such a fun narrator and wonderful dialogue. This line, though. I am SO using it regarding my fiancé at some point ?

Eight hours of 🏐 down and we‘re waiting on the next matchup! 😬💜 Plenty if downtime reading today. Although it‘s starting to get a little uncomfortable. Really enjoying this YA about lots of almosts & ‘the time that Time lost‘. 💛💙 Plus, total #coverlove 😍
