Meh. This book was not quite as engaging as I'd hoped. It's about a 12-year-old girl trying to learn about her late mother by going through the belongings her dad kept. Perhaps fittingly, the book felt like it was more about things than about people. I just didn't feel that connected to the characters.

Very good. Good to finally read a book about the way a dad struggles to bring up a daughter after the death of his wife for once it shows that there is another side to the story. Not hard to read so it was read quite easy. Thank you Net Galley for the free copy

Bray manages to capture summer perfectly in a single page. I'm sweating just reading about it.

The first 20 pages didn't grab me, so I'm going to save this one for another time. Sorry #Netgalley!

Such a beautiful book. I keep journals of quotes from the books I read to help me remember them, especially the ones I love. Normally I write down 2 or 3. For this one, I ended up with 3 pages! Also solidifies the fact that the child narrator is a trope I will always appreciate.🤓

This tells the story of Clover, her Dad and Clovers' quest to create a museum of her Mum. Clover has never known her Mum - she died when she was a baby. She knows nothing of the circumstances and her Dad doesn't seem to want to talk about it. He hasn't thrown any of her Mum's belongings away, they're all in the bedroom they used to share. And so Clover begins to construct her museum... Great, rounded characters throughout.

More holiday reading (well, it IS raining!)

Such a delight from start to finish. A daughter-father story with real heart. You can feel their love on each page ❤️💙

Can't wait to be old enough to give advice like that!!! Am loving this book!!

Sneaking a few pages of this before lights out! I loved Bray's first book, A song for Issy Bradley, so I'm excited to see if this is as good!

Latest Book Depository order ... Not yet released in the US and lots of rave reviews for all three. Excited to get them!

Had a lovely evening chatting with Carys Bray about the brilliant Museum of You over Cava at Waterstones tonight. Hard life innit?!? It's a great book do read.

Finished this wonderful tale yesterday which all starts in this very Museum. Clover wants to discover her mothers story so curates a museum for her. A wonderful novel. Heartwarming and heartbreaking.

I loved this book and thought it was so well written - crafted with care and compassion. Recommended.
