​If I were to put LITTLE BLACK LIES into a category, I would put it in the category of a psychological thriller.

Fantastic read!

It started out a little slow but now I am about half way through and haven‘t been able to put it down! I guess I will just stay in bed all day :) #sharonbolton #thriller #creepy #bibliophile #bookchallenge

Well I certainly slowed down in February but it‘s still an ok month.

A GREAT book. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this. All 3 narrators were brilliant with their accents and tones, and the story was a superb mix of intrigue, tragedy and betrayal. While the subject matter was hard to read, the death of children, it was handled with empathy and gentleness which greatly helped me to cope with such sadness. The 3 different points of view were very well executed and all in all it‘s a remarkable story.

I‘m really enjoying this book with its element of history thrown in with the suspense and mystery. I still lived in the UK when the Falklands conflict happened and the reminiscences of the ex Para are particularly poignant.

Just 10% in and I am hooked! Can‘t wait to drive home and listen to some more.

Technically this is a quote from the poem by Coleridge but it‘s at the beginning of the book and I love it.

Just started this on Audible, looking forward to my drive home to keep listening.

Oh wow it has been a long time since I read a book this good. Love the constant plot twists and the different perspectives this is told from. Had to read the last pages twice to see if I had read them correctly. Brilliant characters and a brilliant read. Will read more by this author.

Got to finish my book club read so I can tackle my massive TBR.....this is just one of my stacks 😳

Little Black Lies takes place on Falkland Islands and it is about a mother's worst fear - losing her children. In a careless accident Catrin's best friend Rachel is to blame for the death of her two boys. 3 years later and 3 missing boys later, you follow Catrin, Callum and Rachel's story lines during the disappearance of the latest missing boy. Full of twists and secrets, a good read for fans of thrillers/mysteries.

This is a very dark thriller. It's set on the faulkland islands which really adds to the atmosphere but I found the subject matter (dead/missing children) really hard to read at times. It's very well written with lots of twists and turns that keeps the suspense going right to the end.

Intriguing setting, compelling characters, and mystery to the very last sentence. What more do we need?
