When a meteor knocks the moon closer to earth, life is full of the unexpected; including the human struggle to hold on to the most important resource of all—hope—in an increasingly desperate and unfamiliar world. Love this series🩷💜💙

ChaoticMissAdventures I remember reading the 1st one in the series on audio probably 15+ years ago. I would read it by the pool and was so absorbed when I went back into my apartment I would forget I had power and could turn the lights on!! 1y

ChaoticMissAdventures I enjoyed this! I listened to it on audio, by the pool and was so engrossed I remember going into the house and forgetting I could turn the lights on because I did have electricity! 2y
allureofbeauty I love this series so much. 2y
Eggs @ChaoticMissAdventures I can relate-it‘s quite compelling. 2y

Eggs @allureofbeauty and those covers! I think it‘s a lesser known and underrated series 2y
SaunteringVaguelyDownwards I really enjoyed the first book when it came out but hadn't realized there was a fourth one until 2 years ago - I read it and was shocked how brutal it was in comparison! This is a series that really gets darker as it progresses - which makes sense for apocalyptic works. 2y
Eggs Certainly unforgettable ❤️🌔🥰 @SaunteringVaguelyDownwards (edited) 2y

1. Not being about the see my class in person every day. Last year's class as well as my current students. Not being able to comfort them in these tough times.
2. Today I am grateful that there is no wind today (so far).

Thank you for the tag @blackink_whitepaper

Anyone want to play?

kimmypete1 I feel you on #1. Virtual teach was a tough adjustment for me. I‘ve got the swing of it down, but I miss my favorite part of teaching - the kids! I just don‘t get enough of their fun personalities in a google meet! 4y
Butterfinger I echo you and @kimmypete1 - I want them here with me where they belong. 4y

High school sophomore Miranda‘s disbelief turns to fear in a split second when an asteroid knocks the moon closer to Earth, like "one marble hits another." The result is catastrophic.

Reading through this trilogy to add to my classroom collection after Spring Break. I am needing new books for my students to pick from. They are going through all the books so fast. Wish there was a cheaper was to add to my class library. #teachersoflitsy

AndreaReads My students loved these books, but unfortunately they have disappeared over the years. 🙄 I agree—I wish there was a cheaper way to get good books into our students hands! 7y
APLitlife @AndreaReads Toying with an Amazon wish list. Just wondering how to tactfully ask parents to purchase from it. Trying to build my library for their kids. My school is a private HS with a minimal library. More research books than pleasure reading. 7y
Eggs My middle school students loved this series and I did too 7y

Pickpick

I loved this series! The book is about a girl when the moon is hit by an asteroid, and is knocked closer to Earth. This is a good read for 8th+ kids, and maybe younger, as the fourth book does have an inappropriate section about Miranda's younger brother. Overall I would give this book a 10/10 and I recommend that you read it!

P.s. My favorite scene is when Miranda has to go into the store and buy anything that will help their survival
