Wow. This book. What a beautifully written story. Very graphic and gory, but worth it.

This book. You can feel the raw emotion that the author had while creating this. I highly recommend reading the forewords. It gives you an insight into who "shelly" was to James O'barr. It was beautifully written. As someone who has many friends and family taken too early, this hit hard. The emotions of losing someone and feeling like you should have done more. I also love that it was not redrawn with a computer. Everyone should read it.
I am so excited to finally read the comic. I have watched the show and the movies. The movie is my favourite. We used a quote from the movie for our wedding vows. I have a crow tattoo as a memorial tattoo that says "it can't rain all the time" needless to say I am excited.
After seeing the movie so many times, I thought its finally time to read the graphic novel. I absolutely adored the whole thing. The poetic yet dark writing. The gory and graphic artwork. I loved seeing the amount of love Eric and Shelly had for each other. It was fantastic and I would definitely reccomend this for fans of the movie or for anyone searching for a new graphic novel to read.
Dark, violent and steeped in madness and grief. It is heartbreak and heartbreaking, all drawn beautifully as the crow seeks to get his revenge and avenge the cruelty evil inflicted upon him and his love.
I adored this, but it tore my heart out and stomped it... and I only loved it all the more for it.
James O'Barr poured some serious heart felt pain into this series. It's just so sad. Beautiful, but sad. Great artwork. Highly recommend this one.

After a long busy weekend that kept me from finishing my #LMPBC book, my fantastic bro in law gave me The Crow soundtrack on vinyl that he snagged at Record Store Day! I'm in 90's flashback heaven. One of my all time favorite movies, and possibly the best soundtrack of all time. It has also been a great comic series over the last 25 years.
Brandon Lee was amazing(?) and Michael Wincott played a great villain.
"It can't rain all the time."
1. Unexpected outings with my husband resulting in books!
2. Sunny days
3. Good vets! My Daisy was spayed yesterday and the vets are so caring and kind.

Easily one of the top graphic novels ever. A uniquely touching and heartfelt story of love, loss, and revenge.
#riotgrams day five: fall reads. I‘m getting a little predicable with these ones, but I don‘t even care. I read the crow every year around this time.
Ahhhh! Book mail! The Crow is one of my favorite 90s movies. I had no idea this special edition graphic novel existed. It is gorgeous! 😍🖤
Catching up on #riotgrams day 25: panels, pictures, illustrations. Always a goth in my heart 🖤🖤 the comic book is striking and black and white and very jarring. This movie and soundtrack were my teenage years, which is very telling. This is from one of my favorite scenes in the movie, and don‘t get me started. “If I say that I‘m dead, and I move...”
3/5 ⭐
A sad story about man who wants to revenge his and his fiance death.
I like the story, the drawings were great, thought, I didn't like the choice of writting.
None the less, I think this is a story a lot of you would enjoy to read. They are many great quotes and I laughed here and there.
I have mixed feelings about this graphic novel. My first introduction to The Crow was the 1994 movie. I won't bore anyone and state how many times I saw it in the movie theatre but I will say it was a lot. It remains one of my top ten favourite movies. I was reluctant to read the original comic because I knew there were vast differences between the comic & movie. I rated this as 4 out of 5 on Good Reads. It was different. But that made it good.
