Can someone please explain the bookmark swap thing I keep seeing and how I get involved

SW-T It was a #bookmarkswap hosted by @LibrarianRyan If you signed up, you got assigned a swap partner. 5y

LibrarianRyan Why hello there. The #Bookmarkswap is like most other swaps but really cheep!. Basically you sign up and tell the host (in this case me) if you want to do 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 partners, want international, or home country only. Once the registration deadline passed you are assigned someone(s) to send bookmarks to based on the criteria you listed. I ran this one like my other swaps with set open date of Aug 15. This had a short turnaround time. 5y

Reggie I loaned my $3.57 copy of Twilight to a coworker eons ago so her daughter could read it. She told me the a week later hey how much did that book cost cause her daughter dogears each page as she goes. It was Twilight so I didn‘t care but I thought mental note: no more borrowing books to Liz. Lol 7y

debthmpsn Oddly enough, I don‘t own any bookmarks. For some reason I got in the habit Of using random scraps of nearby paper to mark the spot (could be a receipt, junk mail, shopping list lol). These lovely bookmarks, however, lead me to believe I‘m missing out on something fun :) 7y

mrp27 @debthmpsn in a pinch I'll use whatever is handy but for the most part I have always used a bookmark. Now I'm at the point where I collect them from bookstores I've visited and they make great souvenirs from my travels, it's fun! 7y
