I‘ve just started and maybe I haven‘t given this one a fair shake but I‘m already annoyed so I‘m out. I‘m not putting up with anymore mediocre novels this summer. #doublebookspin #allhailthebail

4-14-24: My 9th finished book of 2024! A story told in three time lines. Back in the 90s, an unlikely friendship that came at a time when both girls really needed one another. In present day (2016), after many years of estrangement, a scavenger hunt created by someone close to them will bring them together for one more weekend. Will that weekend fix years of confusion and sadness? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣9️⃣
Every now and then a author writes a novel that completely charms and entertains me. Amy Mason Doan gives us THE SUMMER LIST an irresistible tale of family, first loves, secrets and forever friendship.
I feel like I have been so busy lately! While I have been reading it‘s been very random. I couldn‘t even put lists together the past couple months! Feeling ready today! I have two weeks off work at the end of the month so I‘m hoping to make a good dent in this pile. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

This is my review for a book I finished for #bookoplathon. This completes the prompt Community Shelf: Read a 2018 release.
I enjoyed this. In addition to following the current scavenger hunt, the book backs up in time to when Laura and Casey were teenagers and the years that led up to the estrangement. There were additional chapters in italics thrown in that I didn‘t find as interesting. At first, you don‘t know who these chapters are following, but I figured it out. It got more interesting after that, but i thought Laura and Casey had the better storylines
Camping today consists of relaxing, cat napping, and reading while dodging the scattered rain 🤗 📖 #camping #vacationreads
I picked up this summertime contemporary 📖☀️#summertime #tbr #camping
This was such a nice light read! I love reading #NewToYou authors and then immediately adding all of the authors other books to my TBR. 🤣

I wanted to like this one more. For me, the flip flopping of the time lost me a few times and the big secret for the rift wasn‘t all that intense. I do like how things tied together but I spent a lot of time not really liking Alex even tho by the end I understood her behavior somewhat.
Getting a little (ok, probably a lot) of reading time in this am while I ignore life problems. Sadly my coffee cake is pretty crappy so I‘ll have to go find another not so good for me snack.
When your hometown is mentioned and totally takes you by surprise!! I knew the fictional setting in this book was near Tahoe somewhere but wasn‘t expecting Truckee to be mentioned! I love it.
Starting this today...
4 ☆ Entertaining + intriguing! Friendship‘s + love that end abruptly are given a 2nd chance 17yrs later.
Reunited for one more scavenger hunt, it unfolds hidden secrets that reveal an explosive one about the past + a devastating future one for Laura + Casey. An emotional eyes. wide. open. TWISTED backstory is thrown in about their small lake towns dark past that connects them to each other. Loved all the mysteries surrounding their story!
I bought this book because I was intrigued by the story of best friends. The story went beyond just their story of friendship. Little did I know how much I could relate to certain things in the story. I really loved this. I think it's the best book I've read all year.
"...the years when we'd been friends still seemed more important than anything that had happened since"
I can't imagine having a best friend again. I don't think it will happen. We went our separate ways after high school. We stay in touch on a rare occasion. It's hard to make friends as an adult!
A fun summer read about two women in a scavenger hunt as they grapple with the past that has kept them estranged for so many years. Full review at http://booknaround.blogspot.com/2018/07/review-summer-list-by-amy-mason-doan.htm...
Is there any thing worst than being interrupted when you get to ‘the good part‘? 😩
Good morning, #littens! After tallying the votes for my August #MakeMeReadIt stack, Sing, Unburied, Sing is the winner by one vote, followed by Britt-Marie was here. I'm excited about both of them! I had three ties in my stack, so I need your help. I'll post all three ties, you vote for which I should read first, and I'll get them in order. First up, this set was tied for numbers 3 and 4, with 8 votes each. Watch for the other 2 posts!
Next up on the tbr. Perfect for summer reading, right?
