bailedGeez, two DNFs in a row?? I did make it halfway through this one. The main character in this one irritated me for a variety of reasons. Mild rant on my GR account (popcornandbooks). But basically, Alison came through as pretty hypocritical and disinterested in the actual work involved in establishing and maintaining a long-term relationship.

bailedI gave up on this one, y'all. It's one of those that made me chuckle, but I didn't care too much about the characters or what was going on. I think I might have enjoyed it more as a tv show

so-soThis book was not what I thought it was going to be. It was really hard for me to get into the book and I had to push myself to read. There were times I wanted to bail on the book and I kind of wish I did.

pickHow do you find love in today‘s world? Alison is newly single for the first time in a very long time & she signs up for an online dating site. She dates lots of men & many become friends, not boyfriends. Some of the dates will make you laugh, some will make you cringe plus there‘s her ‘pants speech‘. A light, fun read! 4 Stars!!

Happy New Year!! Wrapping up last year with my December round-up. I did so so on my reading as it was a busy month & nothing held my attention in the beginning of the month but started to regain my momentum between Christmas & New Year. As usual read a lot of ARCs (actually got my shelf done to those few that I wonder why I requested them & was waiting for new requests to be approved).
All I want to do today is drink coffee (& tea & wine) and read but silly me scheduled a dentist appointment 😠

I‘m basically living out my dream Saturday night. Clearly my birthday next week is a middle-aged one. 😂
I went to #NYC for the first time 8 years ago, but we were staying in the Bronx, and it was February and freezing, so we took the subway everywhere. • When I went this last June, we stayed in Central Manhattan and walked miles and miles every day, so now I feel like I really know the geography of the city, which makes books set in Manhattan so much more fun now! •
